cause main dancers always give IT in the performances, main vocals lipsync half of the time and when they sing they're rarely serving exceptional vocals cause they have to dance at the same time   

and how are these girls not visuals  ryunjin is more known for visuals than her dancing.

IU's song is a bop and has an advantage over the others just cause of the song quality, plus Yeonjung sounded phenomenal. Hyolyn and Minyoung's was emotional and great. Loona and Kep1er were cute but just couldn't compete with the veterans. 

 

Idg the Shut Down hype tbh it's basically PTT but PTT is actually better because of the bridge + outro and the LOONA girls have interesting voice colors

Tbh I think PTT is superior to Shut Down in every parts except it has that ugly drop that scares people away

I would say Shut Down sounds better to me because the chorus is actually quite fun+anthemic. Loona's chorus/drop was clearly going for more dramatic girlcrush and it didn't really work. Also some of the english lines sound just offputting in the lyrics or the way the girls sound. 

 

"Go Go Let us put on a show" "Wanna be the cool kid?"

 

Also the male chanting they threw in Paint The Town is too much. Ryan Jhun over did his influences there. 

 

Edit: Listened to Paint the Town again. Loona 's rapline is probably some of the worst in girlgroups ever.

I enjoy the post chorus drop aka the "take it to the moon" part. The part that hurts the song for me is the lack of an actual chorus, "We about to paint the town latatatata" is just so....basic and not catchy enough.
