In terms of how they are perceived in today's market, I guess.

 

Due to the fact that we are able to look back and analyze the entirety of the 2nd gen's timeline, we can see how Yoona and Suzy became what they are now. However, let's not forget that we are only 3 years into the 4th gen. If we compare this timeline to the 2gens', we would be around 2010ish more or less... and at that time we didn't know for sure how massive several of the 2nd gen it girls would become (besides the obvious ones, of course).

 

I think my point is...having been there for all 3 generations, this one feels like it's producing more potential it girls in a very short period of time. Mind you, 2007-2014/2015 and 2019-now are completely different markets, so the way they behave will be different, naturally.

True. I always thought Eunha was very underwhelming (her voice is not my cup of tea), but I didn't know how stale she really was until now.

 

VIVIGEE seem very mediocre compared to GayFriend. The collapse that was MGT, Rough, Navillera, Fingertank, Love Whisper, TFTMN, Memoria, Sunrise and their transition into gay territory with the anthems Labyrinth, Apple and Mago. Oof...the EXCELLENCE.

I feel like the members HAVE to be pretty talented for a trio to be good. Otherwise is such an odd number for a group. The VIVIZ girls did good in GFriend cuz they would have other members to cover up more roles were they lacked but these three not balanced enough in vocal/dancing to hold their own.

Chaewon and Yunjin are right there lol. I’d suggest you go listen to chaewon in iz*one and in other things. So they do have vocals.

It’s just the HYBE vocal processing. Look at their boygroups like TXT and Enhypen. There are distinct singers with a distinct voice and range like Taehyun and Jungwon, but their processing mostly makes them sound the same as the other members of the group. Idk why they do that, but I wished they stopped.
