K-pop consumption has changed so much in Korea :deadbanana2: Back then in the 'golden days' songs would debut very high and would fall quickly out of the charts. Now a lot of songs are slow burners while some others stay in the top 10 for WEEKS :psyduck:

O.O >>>>>> Beautiful Monster

Y’all really hate fresh & unique ideas don’t you?

I'm sure I will love the song but this virtual concert :deadbanana4:

Jaehyun is releasing a solo song through NCT LAB in August :alexz:

SM is going to finally realise the Taeyong payola is going to get them nowhere and then need to payola the other members instead :bam:

I only hope is not the one he sings at the last concerts, I want a new one.

2nd gen idols were replaceable because groups were gp dependent and the gp doesn't care about specific members unless they are really really popular (I tend to be like this, I can barely tell apart The Boyz, SF9 or Cravity, Drippin', Got7; yet stan them and listen to them very often)

Nowadays replacing an idol is hard because groups are dependent on fan bases for big sales, so it is hard to kick someone like Lucas out specially when his following is among the biggest of his group:toofunny2:

i wouldnt say it was any different for 2nd gen (see TVXQ)

No amount of stanning changes the fact O.O is an awful song. The way girl group noise has brainwashed y’all is actually crazy to see

Best case scenario for her is that she proves herself “innocent” / acquitted or wins a defamation lawsuit (in a couple of months time when the heat dies down).
And then gets to redebut in a year or two when no one cares anymore and everyone has moved on.

Hybe definitely paid her a nice lump sum for terminating her contract prematurely so she has the money to fight this and she’s very young.

Afterwards she’ll probably have a small dedicated fanbase in a nugu group that cry she’s a victim regardless of what the actual truth was. We’re definitely gonna see some “innocent garam” news in a few months after the legal battle. (Ms Eunsoo will be getting a fat paycheck behind the scenes no doubt :fan:)

Basically what B.I. did or what Soojin is still waiting to do.

Termination contract doesn't always work sometimes companies asks to a fee, and especially in Garam situation where it's a breach of image. They probably asked to pay or gave her nothing.

Wait

you said IVE's new song is a "fresh smash masterpiece"

Now I'm a bit scared of your judgement :dancehall:

Beautiful Monster and Stereotype are STAYC’s best title tracks :jonny5:

I’m enjoying BM so much!!

Its like the child of Stereotype and So Bad :alexz3:

KIM GARAM AND SEO SOOJIN ARE ALL OUT SO WHY IS HYUNJIN

Not leaving? Even April disbanded and all the kids who were related to school violence withdrew so why is that Stray Kids guy not leaving?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

What's worse is that at Stray Kids' level, the kids who know about idols all know them to some extent so they can't even use "being flops" as an excuse. Why is he the only one persistently promoting? I really don't get it

In the end, isn't he the real evil? He only picked on girls and is now earning money off his female fansㅋㅋㅋ

HYBE released a whole statement that she was innocent so terminating for a breach of contract/image won’t work in this case.

She was definitely given money to leave. Also it would be really scummy not to especially if you consider how much money she’s losing out on being kicked from Le Sakurafim

They changed the charts multiple times too though and weren’t downloads very very cheap back then?

Nnn :dies: Well I praised LOVE DIVE since the beginning so you can take my word!

Garam should join Soojin and be the new t.a.t.u :gaycat1:

TVXQ's case is a very special case though, as I stated there were cases where the members were too popular and that made it harder, Ex TVXQ's trio was so big that they managed to have a decent-successful career as JYJ in korea and Japan:psyduck: That's how big the group was,  same goes to Jessica she went #1 on melon post SNSD and had amazing sales. They weren't easy idols to kick out and it's obvious the brands of TVXQ and SNSD would be bigger if the original line ups were still remaining.  Another example of this would be AOA managed to have a hit without ChoA and they actually came from a flop before she left the group.

But for example it would be unthinkable for RV to kick Irene out or for NCT to kick Lucas out, that's why SM put them on hiatuses, a Wonyoung-less Ive or a Sakura-less LSF are also out of the picture because the groups would suffer too much.

Definitely a grower…excited to see how it does once promotions kick in :lakitu:

I actually didn't mind Nabilera, it got stuck in my head really quick.

Bad Dog, whatever, Picasso amd Fernade Oliver are great.

But I really love Watch Me, it's the best song on the album.

Imagine ignoring all the evidence and bullying a 16 year old and ruining her career

Well I can’t imagine that because I didn’t bully her or ruin her career.
