I'm thinking Lydia was the one to post that story and tweet. I'm pretty sure she looks through this thread for ideas and maybe how to get her career jump started again. 

 

My thing is as a manager (not telling you how to do your job Lydia) you need to make sure the artist is aware of important dates. Those being 7/27, 5/31, and now 6/14. You need to get Normani on a schedule were she needs to post at least 3 instagram, Tiktok, and Twitter tweets a month. Tell her to search her name up and try to retweet only the positive stuff. She needs to get active; if not tell her you need to separate.

 

I think Lydia is a great manager but she needs to get Normani in the trenches and get her name back out there or just go join 5H again or just retire and give up.

this would work if she wanted it to, she doesn't let people use her social media without her approval, a simple tweet she has to approve and the streets says she loves ghosting and goes days without replying lydia lol

Lydia if you're in here, inbox me. I got low budget/free promo ideas and I have paid ones. Like we can get Normani trending without her having to even tweet more than once a year still. The fanbase is not being mobilized at all so it's dwindling.
 

First quick thing, the Normani Nation account is being used all wrong, it needs a proper tiktok/IG posting schedule, and it needs to collab more with the Normani Updates team. They run a tight ship. 
 

Next quick thing, capitalize on Fifth Harmony nostalgia. She needs to start mixing the 5H hits into her transitions or something like Beyonce does her Destiny's Child stuff. People love nostalgia bait!!!

No. She definitely could. Beyoncé has people curate her social media presence to fit whatever catch-all liberal/moderate talking points so she presents her brand as all inclusive yet uniquely traditional. Hence; why she can go from Black Revolutionary, Afro-Centric, LGBTQ ally, and Cow girl/Country all within the last decade. 

 

You think Beyoncé came with all this stuff? She has media consultants and publicist go and look for inspiration as a template and she expounds off of it. 

 

The thing that causes Mani to be held up is that she does all of that on her own and i'm not trying to be mean but she's no Annie Leibovitz. She's not on the pulse of all the pressing issues happening in the world and guess what? That's ok. All she needs to do is have a strong message that can transcend demographics. TBH I can sort of see why the label didn't want Black Woman and other songs. It's too on the nose; while Lemonade was a culmination of different things one being black liberation but also her personal experiences which is why people including (non-black ppl) could listen to it. You can be race specific while still being crossover it's a fine line and you can balance it and that's what Normani should learn how to do.

But the point is that she had a team to take care of this part but she was apparently negligent, so why keep a team if you disappear and do not authorize posts? One of the main reasons why everything about her is days late is because she takes a long time to respond to people. You guys need to accept that she just wants to be a housewife now.

Where are you getting this from?

 

Even so I would still post even if she didn't want to. Is Lydia not the second point of contact? Have them send her a shortlist of the photos and have her pick 2 or 3 and call it a day.

Everyone should just accept that it's pretty much over.

 

Even if she was to have anything up her sleeve, it's not going to garner the success and momentum she once had and waisted. No matter what's going on behind the scenes, she and her 'team' have a gained a rather 'unacceptable' reputation. Unfortunately, her team can easily blame the lack of consistency on her as they maneuver through the industry, but SHE will be the party that suffers the most. 
 

I'm seeing that Nation has no idea what all has been lost over the years. It's time out for the delusions and high hopes. With the current state of the industry, she won't even have the 'Ciara' effect, where she's able to live through multiple failed startups. It's disheartening, because I've always said Normani was a once in a lifetime icon in the making, but. . . I'm heartbroken, as if I'm living through a break up. 
 

Be it resolved, it's nothing more that Nation could've done or can continue to do. We've stood by her on multiple accounts, even when her mother claimed there were other workings behind the scenes, hindering the progress. Nation is one of the main reasons she was able to grace the VMA's with "Wild Side", yet we're constantly disconnected. Not in the manner of Beyoncé or Rhianna, but completely disconnected. 
 

It's best to accept the cards we've been dealt.  There's a multitude of life experiences that's more advantageous than wavering videos, lingering contracts or questioning second chances. Her life is in a better place than musical expression has provided in the last ten years.

I've been a long time fan. I'll show up when she decides to really show up.

 

Personally, I think she could still have a comeback, but she has to want it badly and that doesn't seem to be the case.

 

Dropping or leaking visuals each week and then doing a short summer or winter tour where she PERFORMS her songs would reinvigorate the fandom and draw up some new interest. 

 

Every time she randomly sings motivation there is some new excitement there.

 

Someone to call my lover was trending awhile ago, her team should have leaked the take my time visuals or paid for a snippet to trend a bit on tiktok. It has a similar sunshine pop vibe that Janet had on STCML.

 

I know some of her fans elsewhere believe she's above 5H, but I think a reunion of some kind would be great for her and remind people that she actually does want to be an artist. Plus, I don't see anything wrong with riding on some positive nostalgia. People do miss girl groups and 5H had some bops.

My exact idea. I don't know why she can't do some shameless promotion. I think she's lowkey scared mixed with anxiety from being gone too long and having to perform. But she's the one who wanted it that way. If I was her I would've been everywhere promoting my. music. ****, what does she really have going on that she can't look at some damn pictures and post it to her socials. 

 

I mean why even have a social media if all you going to do is post these damn photo shoots from 3 months ago. Like why no tweets why no candid simple photos. I get she's trying to do a Bey but tbh she hasn't earned that type of career yet. Even Rihanna who's on her 3rd pregnancy is out and about enjoying life. Like? I'm not even understanding why she can't post about her music. Like ask the crowd what they want for the next album or maybe even crowd source. That's a fun and easy way to garner some interaction and attention from the general public. 

 

I mean will she get some hate? Maybe. But her problem is she lets what these random ass people who are posing as fans control her life and that's rather sad.

I have no news to share, but want to fan over the potential new song. I just have a gut feeling it's a sad or in your feelings type song, based on the snippet. I know I shouldn't glorify breadcrumbs but there's like a 1-sec clip on her IG where it's just maybe the background of the instrumental. I like how they teased crumbs like that, because you appreciate the different aspects of the song. In that 1-sec, you can appreciate the tone or vibe.

 

A song is only 3 min, you don't want to give too much away too soon. Amazing that we haven't heard vocals or lyrics yet.

Like this is why I'm confused about why I'm getting jumped. We definitely heard snippets on her IG. Did everyone forget that fast? EmpowerHer performance is in August. 
 

It definitely looks like they were prepping to start a rollout around the original EmpowerHer event date and then it got postponed. Everything points to that but let's continue to all play dumb and argue over *potential* new music

Nothing happens cause her team has cold feet and doesn't let anything that isn't "perfect" release, This is why RCA probably hates her. The other girls try their best to make a good end product then roll with it.

 

Normani's goes around saying she didn't like how her videos were edited or how the music sounded on the final mix. Labels kinda hate that type of stuff and consider it slander. They want girls who will suck it up and produce hits.
