It's already almost 6 PM Eastern, I doubt she's even going to make a social media post acknowledging the album's existence :deadbanana4:

Those of you who have stuck around in here for the last few months are honestly angels and she doesn't deserve you :toofunny2: We'll probably never know the exact reasons why, but it's pretty clear she lost passion about this project somewhere along the way (which was made clear within the first 2 weeks of release when she was openly dragging like half the songs in her interviews :rip:) and doesn't really care that her fans were let down by how little she was willing to acknowledge it or show it love. Which is a huge shame because I still maintain that it was a great debut album with so much potential. It, and her fans who stayed loyal for so many years, didn't deserve to get paid dust by her.

I'm sorry but I can't stand that flip flop flipping ass bxtch Zach.   Any who. The hype was dead they said. Nobody cared they said. The engagement will never be like it was with Motivation t

It's just sad tbh. Would have never thought back in 2018 that this would be her story. Oh well. Hope she's enjoying herself today.

Looking forward to reading this chapter in a memoir someday.

giving dopamine a stream on the way home from work to celebrate, it's honestly still a solid debut, it's sad that she kinda hates it 💀 it's been fun but i don't even want more music if this is the energy we'll be receiving sadly

I saw a post recognizing Dopamine being out for a year, on PopBase on X/Twitter.

Someone on her team must've paid for that and wanted to spark interest. So something is clearly brewing.

Hopefully this week we get something, or sometime this month.

I don't mean to get anyone's hopes up. But honestly, we are here because Mani's music truly excites us. I have a confidence that we are close to the deluxe, why else would she tease a new song

I do have hopes for new music. However, it always takes at least 2 months after an initial snippet to get the song

She's just being real, relax :rip: I actually find it cute. It's not like she says it begrudgingly or with misery.

Remember when you find it cute that she said that her manager made her acknowledge her album ? Why are you surprised she completly ignored Dopamine ? That what she's been doing for the past year, dragging her music left and right. Why are y'all surprised ?

Because the clip was cute and not to be taken seriously... :rip: Also, who said I was surprised? I chose to be optimistic over the past year, because that's just how I move. And while I'm disappointed about the lack of acknowledgment form her today, I'm still optimistic about the new music that could be on the way.

Anyway, hope you spent as much time streaming Dopamine as you did looking through my old posts :heart2:

She only said she disliked "Take my time" and wasn't crazy about "Little Secrets". For "All yours" all she said was she didn't like the Bridge and people are pretending like she hated the whole song.  Saying a part of a song can be improved on is not a big deal. She mentioned how much she loved 1:59, Grip and Tantrums more than once. She mentioned loving Wild side and fighting for Distance to be on the album. Her fanbase constantly sets her up by talking about the negatives and not the positives but she has said more positives things about the album than negatives lol.

It's also not her job to get her performances and get her seen. That's her management & label's jobs. Now for the social media part, that is her job but she clearly has some severe anxiety issues. I saw someone talking about a page or two back but I don't think she handles anything normally. That racist attack during fifth harmony days clearly had lasting effects and she would probably benefit from therapy long time. I know she was in therapy at one point because she did do a suicide preventation facebook live with the "American Foundation for Suicide Prevention" during Wild Side. Also it was weird to me that no fans questioned why she was doing that specifically out of all the "causes" she could be trying to bring awareness too. Everyone's mostly focused on the music I guess and not her as a person :toofunny2:

🤡🤡🤡🤡 the example of the nation justifying Normani dragging her songs from her album that took her years to make and made us wait (because it was suppose to be worth it) then act surprised when she dont post anything for the anniversary. Not to mention the fact that this user had the nerve to blame fans for pointing out her talking bad about her album as if she didn't spend all her time ignoring it. Nation is a devoted and loving fanbase but y'all need to stop blaming people for her own mistakes and attack fans that point out her wrongs. That's one of the reasons why she treats nation sooo badly.

Was tryna hype you up for the snippet babe, to shift your mood. Anyways...

I also want to let you know that she, today, was on TikTok commenting on the video of a girl that said she let her. The disrespect is on another level with her and y'all are gonna say I don't understand why is underrated. She is at the right place that's all.

PopBase be posting about her all the time tbh so I don't think that's a sign of something brewing .

Yeah PopBase is more posting just about anything. Popcrave does do paid posts though! Also, Chartdata who randomly posted Dopamine did 300k units. So I think that's more indicative of maybe her team paid.

With that said, idk if anything is coming anymore. Normani just might be shelved and we have to sadly accept it. Mods will be locking this base shortly. (Save us @WheresJay:gaycat6:

When I say she should just retire it's no joke. What she just did is one of the most unprofesional thing ever. She is proved she made us wait all these years for nothing. Even when you tease music, the least you can do is post a least a insta story saying « happy 1st dopamine, i have so much more to come see you » she didn't even do that. Just retire girl, i don't know why you force yourself doing something you hate and waist peoples time.

She was destroyed cos she claimed to be Beyonce...and Jay-z said STOP THIS MADNESS!!

Can you shutup!

We don't need that type of energy right now! We are upset that Mani is being uttterly stubborn right now and won't even mention her album.

I've been saying this.
She hasn't made RCA any money because of inability to just have fun. She had such an opportunity to make something of a career with Motivation but completely dropped it in exchange for this weird "I'm this one of a kind artist and I'm very narrative." When she literally released Fair.

Like I'm so irritated that we been in this thread for years making excuses and hoping for a better outcome and the thing keeps happening.

She should just have her fiancé buy her out and be independent.

Then on top of that; she's never present and never even interacts outside of a damn instagram story. Like I'm annoyed; you it's bad when the other 3 members are literally taking pictures and speaking with paparazzi and I get more excited.

Normani never said she was the next Beyonce.

Actually, once Normani came out on the BBMAs 2018 as a solo, people were so shook, angry trolls started to pretend to be mani stans saying 'she's the next Beyonce' to get Beyonce fans angry. It was all to turn people against Normani and it worked. Folks were jealous of Normani's natural talent and went after her hard.

Normani got lots of hate from Black twitter, blogs like the Shade Room etc. To the point where people started to big up Chloe Bailey as the 'Normani ender.' Chloe went with it and it helped her first single, but then once Normani disappeared from the scene, Chloe's whole marketing plan disappeared with her and Black twitter/blogs etc. soon turned on Chloe, big upping Halle as her replacement (until Halle got pregnant).

In the mean time, Normani had personal issues - parents with cancer. And the amount of hate she was getting for existing didn't make her want to be on social media since people already post pictures of her being lynch*d back when she was in Fifth Harmony.

She also had a shitty team that didn't know how to properly promote her and get her into the spaces she needed to get into. And a music industry that would rather push Camila (who at the time was flying high off her one hit, Havana) against Normani. She was also thrown under the bus by Sam Smith who wouldn't let her promote DWAS in 2019 on major award shows that could have really given her some shine.

But then at the center of it you have Normani herself self-sabotaging. Not wanting to go with pop even though pop, pop/r&b and adult contemporary were her biggest hits. She doesn't and still doesn't have the chops to make it as a pure r&b artist. She doesn't have the vocals for it and she doesn't stand out. But she was stubborn and started to **** all over the songs that put her on the map as a solo. Her perfectionism and likely anxiety also kept her from releasing music on time and she didn't have skin thick enough to survive the utter onslaught of hate she was getting by the time Wild Side came out. People were actually angry at her for sampling Aaliyah, like musicians don't sample all the damn time.

Normani's team didn't fight for her. The industry didn't fight for her. The public and stan culture didn't fight for her. Black people and R&b fans didn't fight for her. Normani didn't fight for herself.

Seems like only the fans were fighting for Normani. And her mom on twitter.

At this point, having watched Normani's trajectory from her Fifty Harmony days until now, I've come to accept that Normani is living a soft, rich life and just doing things here and there and that's enough for her. She's happy and it's really just me who wanted her to be this huge star because that's what stans do - we want to live vicariously through our faves regardless of whether or not that's what our faves want. It does feel like a waste because I really wanted to see solo Black pop/popr&b girls come back heavy. It's been a minute. But with the way things are now in Trump's America, even the pure r&b Black girlies are struggling and vocalists are out. For a Black girl unless you're rapping, nobody seems to want you. It's a shame, but I'm letting it all go.

The next big Black female solo star will likely come from outside of America. Bey, her mom and her stans are pushing for Blue Ivy but I don't see it.

Damn looks like I had a lot to get out. I haven't been here in a minute.

I'm sorry but I don't want to come off rude when I say this but…

WE ALREADY KNOW THAT.

We know she has gotten hate but at this point who doesn't? The entertainment industry is all about image and social standing.

Normani never had a REAL hate train until the Chris Brown collab. So granted I can see her taking a break from social media.

However, that shouldn't stop you from trying to interact and engage with the ppl who support your craft.

Nicki literally got 3x as much hate during 2017-19 but she was still on movies. Still doing interviews and photo shoots. Still released music via collabs and a whole LP.

Nicki was hated on by pretty much every major media outlet during that time. However, she still persevered and put her fans before all of that.

That's all we ask for from Normani. Is that too much to ask for? Clarity? Transparency?

If you are having trouble with the label; you give a subliminal out hinting at such. I mean they did it all the time in 5H (excluding her mostly Lauren and Dinah).

However, that doesn't negate the fact that she can address things indirectly and gives us a  bit more insight. We aren't bullying her if anything the Twitter stans defend her with their life.

She could easily get on live; talk for a minute and ban any trolls that get on her account.

If she's shelved then do something to bring attention back to her music. Shake some ass to a song; sing some covers. ****; play a games on live stream—something.

You guys make it worse by trying to silence ppl from voicing their concerns and frustrations. That is so patronizing and manipulative. You don't know what is going on so don't try and place blame at our doorstep for something is obviously going on a level that we have no access to.

Woaaah I'm not trying to silence anyone. I know Normani is part of the problem, I said this in the post.

But at the end of the day, I just don't think Normani wants it as much as her fans do and that's her prerogative. I'm disappointed, sure. But at this point, I'd rather move on than pop a lobe over a celeb who seems to be at peace with where she's at.

The fact that she couldn't even post about the anniversary til the next day kinda sums up everything about her nowadays. It's so much easier not expecting anything from her.

she saw y'all in here popping your blood vessels  and said ENOUGH :suburban:
