That's what it seems. Her new management doesn't really seem to be playing with info. I don't even think she'll do the usual and let us know when she's rehearsing for a video.

I really have no clue what's going on but if Lydia and Brandon signed on to deal with it, it seems to be worth it and actually coming. We just have to hang tight. September! (Fingers crossed)

I doubt anything is coming this year….you got drake and Taylor’s biggest album …among other major artist dropping singles and songs. And her label will keep playing the same games with her and focusing on trying to get a hit single…instead of building an artist and album

No shade but that has been the problem, holding on to the music because other people are releasing. She might get better results being #3 on Spotify or Apple Music behind new Drake and Taylor singles than #1 on a week when non-fans aren't looking for something to stream.

I agree. More traction in the market brings more attention. #1 ain't everything nor do I think that's their goal.

Do you think they have more planned after Candy Paint? Or do you think they'll put it out to gauge reception?

i think this is the one thing she could do. even if music isn't coming say tomorrow, tweeting her fans, getting on instagram live would be nice and keep her in our face.

+1

I know she's been going through personal issues but this is a business and she needs to start acting like it.

She needs to engage with her fans in between singles and eras. It will help her brand and push fans to support as they will have a more personal connection.

Ummm…last time Taylor dropped something every single song occupied the top 20 of iTunes..Apple music and Spotify. She had like 10-15 songs on billboard top 20. And 1989 is probably her biggest album. So ummm I don’t know. And I forgot about Nicki is dropping also.

A cute pop/R&B album with mindless bops would’ve been acceptable 4 years ago but now I’m expecting a masterpiece tbh

She could’ve delivered mid and been fine up until about Wild Side/Fair. Now it’s gotten out of hand…

nothing not coming this year is quite the stretch lol. i def think we're getting music this year.

Every year…

Her not dropping this year after that bose ad is hilarious. She has to drop for the Fall so the school kids can spread the Normani word.

Not Candy Paint being nowhere to be seen lol.

Have defended her so much, as there's for sure been drama behind the scenes. But it's getting...hard to.

My gut tells me the Bose thing was/is a contractual obligation from the Brandon/S10 days. I'm almost certain, actually, given that it went live in June and we got recent confirmation that she went her separate ways with S10 in May. Doubt her new managers hit the ground that quickly.

That said, they really should have been more ambiguous about the Candy Paint drop and used it as an ad jingle rather than formalizing it as a single (in the Billboard feature) only for nothing more and we're now in September.

At this point, I don't even want to hear anything about Candy Paint unless she's re-revving with a huge feature. I'd much rather a clean slate and a new song Q4 (if they have anything ready to roll) or top of next year. Anything beyond that will be a joke (in the most objective, non-stan capacity going). Like, anything past Q1 next year is us being delusional IMO.

Not to ignore the rest of your point because you spilled but I’m screaming at us begging for ad jingles at this point :bibliahh:

y'all are being a bit dramatic. she just signed new management lol like im sure there's a game plan. my only wish is like updates from her or at least interacting more on social media but idk i have faith in september

I just hope the game plan involves a project.

Coming back with a loose single won’t be enough I’m afraid.

the way we go from "Mani May" to "faith in september" I hate her :bibliahh:

With new management does she get to keep what she recorded is that first album scrapped and she starting over?

At this point, I really don't think most are (being overdramatic). The reality is that, all factors (including new management) considered, teasing CP in June only to still have nothing by September 1st is wild. It figures that they are recalibrating and getting her ish in place following the signing of new management, but to the average person (and even a supportive fan) it just presents as yet more delays of a song that is unlikely to be her Billie Jean or Crazy In Love anyway.

I really just wish they were more vague about CP to save her from any expectations and save us any more disappointment....until they for sure know what the new gameplan is.

Fingers crossed a) for September and b) for some kind of added twist (like a big feature on it).

As long as she's still with RCA, I'd imagine all the recorded material to date is still fine to release.

Edited by Cbreezy

Does she even get to keep her songs if she has new management and potentially new label?
