Really wish we got a shot at the end with Lee waiting for Joker if that was her… but besides that the movie isn't that bad. I like the concept of the story though I wish we got more Lee scenes, seems like her character just sped up at times despite how slow the story is

In general the song selections kinda suck and that was the first red flag imo 

 

The film is so clearly aiming to be the film version of what Kander and Ebb and Sondheim were doing during the 70s with musical theatre. The vibe really is Cabaret meets Assassins. And instead of pulling from those types of shows that would have fit like a glove- songs like Unworthy of Your Love, Maybe This Time, Everybody's Got The Right, Losing My Mind, Everything's Alright- they chose a bunch of milquetoast standards that feel half-assed. Oh Todd.

Anyway, hopefully people will now appreciate Harlequin. It's there for those of us who wanted to hear Gaga sing on this tracks, and Gaga to bring more character to her role. It makes a lot more sense in this context.

if you had to sneak a Gaga song into a party/work/family event playlist to get people to like Gaga, which song woulf you pick?

Just watched JFAD it wasn't that bad. Gaga acting is great, you really forget is her(you see the difference with her other roles she played) . The musical segments were really good. The only thing bad is the story goes nowhere.

 

 

What I would've liked to happen

- Harley character development

-Harley should have kill*ed joker

-a darker and bold Movie

-the musical segments to be like when he sings The Joker 

- Take out the court drama 

-make the story about her driving him crazy, and they commiting crimes while singing

- Take some of the songs and keep the stairs scene
