That Blake Lively romcom did well at box office even with a whole online cancellation campaign targeted at her. Nicole Kidman is just now in an A24 erotic thriller about her character having an affair with a younger male intern. Anne Hathaway was literally in a movie based on a 1D fan fiction just earlier and it's 80% on RT.

 

She'd be the perfect age to get paired up with a (emphasis on HOT) younger actor if she decided to do a romcom next.

 

Anyone But You was a big runaway success this year as well.

Recently we also had The Lost City and Ticket To Paradise, both successful rom coms, that is to say this genre can be successful if the casting is right and I'd live for Gaga to give it a try.

Maybe it's just me, but since the start of their interviews and press tour for FAD, I kinda felt like she was talking more about her personal life / music career than the movie itself. Which is a bit odd if we compare it to the other two movies' promo rollout, when she seemed much more focused on her acting process and experience.

 

The Jimmy interview, she spent more time talking about Michael than JFAD, and then jumped almost straight to Harlequin. 

 

I have a feeling she knew this was a bomb on the way (besides her scenes being cut) and decided to be classy but also promote her own brand.
