Depends on what you mean by viral. Was it viral, with TikTok trends and stuff? No. But the number of TikToks and YouTubev videos where people filmed themselves reacting to the song + praising it certainly help. So in a way, yeah, DWAS was viral.

One thing is certain: given the fact that it lost streams every day, it for sure means some people checked it out, didn't like it, and won't bother listening to it again. Otherwise, the streams would have been closer and more stable. Doesn't mean people hate the song - but going from 4.5M to 2.2M in 3 days is certainly telling something.

It is, that's why you should stay away from it. All the stan world wants is smash hits that debut at #1 and spend weeks & weeks up there... which doesn't even happen that quite often.
