September 18, 20242 yr comment_26521830 I watched the Joker movie today for the second time after 5 years and god it's depressing. I definitely understand the mixed reception for both movies now. It's simply not for everybody. Personally I found it to be a little slow and not much going on. Even a little boring at times. I can definitely see how the musical elements would work for a sequel. There's a lot of music in the first one and a few dancing scenes. Along with the delusions and hallucination scenes it just seems like a natural progression that the sequel will be a musical. It also works because the movie is not a fun movie. The music really balances it out in the first movie. Can't wait to see the sequel 2 weeks! There are a number of reasons why it could've took so long to get a new era out, and it's probably things like meeting a new man, focusing on film, doing Vegas shows, launching a remix album and a jazz album, and doing a makeup line. And also just not feeling like it. Many artists go longer between albums and still put out 10-12 songs. There's no reason to be married to this one, statistically unlikely idea. Snap outta it!
