That's what I'm hoping for. I don't like when actors/actresses channel the movie too closely where it feels tacky.

 

(Barbie's promo campaign, to me, undermined their acting acclaim for that reason. You're not supposed to be in character anymore.. Just yourself.)

She's gorgeous. She has an uphill battle to win tho, the reviews are gonna end up worse than House of Gucci's (63 now at Metacritic, but Pablo Larrain's biopics always debut way higher than how they end up) and ofc there won't be box office or much audience support.
