Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for the past few weeks and have officially joined the forum. I've been a little monster since Born This Way era and my god this woman has a chokehold on me ever since. So excited to experience the first Gaga era on ATRL with you guys. 

Katy announced her 2nd single for august 9th, meaning Gaga will release Abracadabra on August 2nd 

Ya'll better stop having mental breakdowns over no music annoucements.  We're getting a MAJOR blockbuster movie in a few months and promo for it starts in a few short weeks.  We are going to be so fed with content and interviews, it will be insane.  If she also releases the album this year, it would be the biggest Gaga rollout since BTW, seriously.

I think it's important to acknowledge that, while many of us love and will support her in whatever she does, not everyone shares the same enthusiasm for her acting career. And that's ok. So, don't expect people to stop asking about LG7 just because she will release interviews about how she's been in a mental institution since she was 13, singing jazz and studying French cabaret.

On a scale of 1 to 10, importance of anything movie related: 4. LG7 details: 10.

The movie side gig should add to her career not take away from her music.

Album release should be in September, always assuming the plan is to release this year but end of October is too late, especially for a possible Halloween or dark theme album, the Xmas songs are getting every year always more massive immediately after Halloween, we need a bit of longevity.

I agree but she'll be everywhere this year.  I'm just saying that people should stop having meltdowns and creating imaginary countdowns unless it's a joke.  We know for a fact that she's coming with amazing music

I get it but it's hilarious, she'll be in the news every single day and this forum will be having constant meltdowns.  Imagine adding new music into the mix, I don't think this site could handle it. 

hmm, i feel like october release is fine for a "darker" album, especially if we singles well in advance of the album.

In real world there's no 'side gigs', especially referred to starring in a 200 million dollar movie, that it's a gig for a main trained professional actress, we're not talking about a cameo and it has to be successful box office wise, a project like that it's more important than an album especially in terms of money and all the people involved working on it.

The problem with September is that it should probably be the month with the biggest Joker promo.

 

Venice (Sept 4) and TIFF (somewhere between Sept 5-15), probably a couple magazine covers/interviews and then red carpet premieres in LA/NYC/London/Paris? leading to the theatrical release on October 4.

My guess is lead single in August and album in late October. Let's just say October 25 because November is too damn close to the elections.

 

The issue with single in August and album in October is that every interviewer will definitely ask her about the upcoming album and I am not sure WB would want that, or even Gaga would want that considering she wants to be seen as an actress and not musician-turned-actress
