Artists focus on making huge tours now instead of album promotion 

Not sure what you made you switch all of a sudden lately but why would she perform a lead single at the Jazz and Piano show? That sounds senseless to me.

 

We can all agree that eras have became shorter, with less promo and it's all about tours but there's still some logical-strategical choices behind an album release, she can still support and give legs to the album properly with going on a tour few months after the release like it was supposed to happen with 'Chromatica' originally (album April, tour July of the same year), which sounds more ideal and logical than releasing an album in the middle of Summer holidays and then quitting it immediately to move on to JFAD promo.

It's funny how Chromatica was gonna be her shortest era yet and here we are four years later with a tour film release

Album and tour in 2025 would limit her being able to take a new acting gig in the same year though. But that largely depends on how big the tour is and whether she has anything in the works to begin with.

 

After all is said and done, JFaD is releasing 4th of October. I'm unsure how long promo tours usually last but there's still plenty of time for an album to be released in 2024 after JFaD's initial release. Whether Gaga wants to strike while the iron is hot though, she probably doesn't and instead wants to give her music room to breath without having her acting role take that much spotlight. 

 

Summer release would be iconic though so we can get Gaga in ALL the awards shows for 2025! Grammies, VMAs, BAFTAs, Emmys (for potential Chromatica Ball Film award), Oscars, Golden Globes... now that would be a dream.

The rumors of Gaga going on tour at the end of 2024 make me believe that LG7 is coming this summer, following a similar launch as Billie's new album. I also believe the rumors that she recently completed the album 

 

But at the same time, since 2022 I was sure it was coming in 2025. Maybe I'm just excited for new Gaga music. At the end of the day I'll be happy if it comes this year or next year.
No matter what we get JFAD this year, and I'll be listening to that soundtrack on Replay for months

I'm excluding a November-December release since in the last years the Xmas songs have started to became massive since early November already, it has became difficult to charts anything else in that period, plus there's still the soundtrack release in the picture with the possibility that it could perform well.

Major releases have been done during November-December, so I don't know how much that is going to be taken into account. But if they are going to play the era as perfectly as they can (which, you know, Gaga's team is a bit...) at least December is off the shelves. Late October/Early November is still completely fine imo, especially if it's a spooky-ookie-darkGa album which NEEDS an October (or otherwise autumn) release so people can be bopping to it during Halloween!

She needs to avoid dropping / promoting the album during the election tbh

October release would be great, reminds me of when the days were turning cooler, fashion week was happening, and Bad Romance appeared. Great time, and I forever associate her with fall now. With Joker 2 being released in early October, I doubt that will happen. If she's not going to do much promo it's fine - her movie and album release can kind of promote each other in a symbiotic way, but that's risky, and also, I get the feeling she'd hate that and feel overwhelmed. 

When Gaga's team steals this version and puts it on Spotify right after the Chroma Ball Film release.  Her next #1 is coming! Chroma snatching another Grammy too!

LG7 coming in 2025 would also mean she's not eyeing taking another acting role for a long time after Joker release. And I don't see this happening tbh

 

I'm still rooting for LG7 in 2024 with a short and focused era this summer and tour next year while preparing for her next movie

To me it seems unlikely passing from taking 4 years of break to release movie + relative promo and possible awards campaign + soundtrack + music album + preparing a tour at the same time, all the moves she has done in the last years proved that she is not willing to overcharged herself like that and to keep her projects separated and taking her time for each one.

 

I'm done and tired with this argument at this point, time so far has proven me right with my reasoning based on her past moves and people in here will keep argue on how she can still release in 2024 until 31 December anyway.

I'm so confused because based on her… two main movie roles so far, one of them was actually quite busy promo wise because she was doing a jazz era simultaneously. Or are we gonna forget she was filming and releasing TV specials, doing a jazz residency leg, putting out singles, and releasing music (both Love For Sale and Dawn Of Chromatica) all while promoting House of Gucci from August - December 2021. If anything Gaga loves to save up her projects until one slot of time so all her projects can benefit from one another. This was the strategy with Chromatica / HMH too when that was supposed to come in 2020.

If she trully taking 2025 for next album + tour, I really don't see her releasing a new movie in theater until 2027 / 2028 then

Feel like thz wait for next movie after Joker will be longer this time anyway 

Joker (2024) -> LG7/30-40 date stadium tour (2025) -> Film next role (2026) -> Next movie release (2027) still seems the most logical imo

Unfortunately for us I think her team strategy is to just wait and go in with a punch vs. A Miley strategy of frequent releases that just bomb and then put you in bad favor with curators. Taylor constantly releases it works for her cause they always do well. Gaga's music releases are more like awards bait

This too. She, and basically every other actor out there, would be foolish to not strike while the irons hot post-Joker.

Hey everybody! This is my first post in this base and I have been a Gaga stan for forever now, so excited to be able to share my thoughts with you all 

 

I want to first talk about how insane it is that we have to wait over 4 years for new music this time around, potentially even 5.

However, this has made me very apprehensive of the fact that I stan Gaga for her unique perspective on pop music, and that she doesn't really owe anybody anything - (not even her fans), and ofc this ultimately means that we don't owe her anything either. However, for me personally this realisation has only reinforced the fact that I will go ride or die for this lady! Even if the frequency of her releases or sometimes the releases themselves aren't in line with what I would want, I'm still here waiting to check in on her whenever and I always find something to cherish in her releases which I love!

 

With that being said, this time around I feel like it's the most unprepared I have been for a Gaga release. If she just announced now, I would obviously be hyperventilating, but I would have no idea what I would be about to hear. I kinda like that but it's also really crazy to think about. We're pretty much in the dark unless I'm missing something.
