I noted that too - her edited bottom lip gives smaller xenomorph mouth and the black outfit looks like the body

I wasn't a fan until BTW but I consider TFM her most cohesive album technically. I haven't really listened it in a while tho but I stand by that statement. It's definitely more cohesive than BTW. 

I miss the 2000s when Xtina considered unusual because other pop stars released their album every two years   (Britney, Kelly, Bey, Missy, Alicia, Avril)

start a whole era in February

release an album in April

perform both Enigma and Jazz residency in April - May

Hold My Hand release by June

and kick off her world tour in July. 
 

along with the surprise Coachella performance and who knows.

 

I get it seems unlikely, but just because she has things like a movie premier or a Vegas show to do doesn't mean it's impossible for her to release music too.

Honestly, who's to say that the J:FAD soundtrack is even much competition to an actual album? People can make ASIB comparisons, but that was an exception to the rule. It was an original country, Americana, and pop soundtrack, not a bunch of theatre and jazz covers. The audience for the type of music Joker will be using is inherently niche. And imo, there's no reason to assume that general audiences will automatically casually listen to the soundtrack given how non-commercial it will likely be. 

 

There's a legitimate scenario where the J:FáD soundtrack gets released, has a good debut week, lingers for a bit, and that's it.

And who's to say it won't?

 

Your same logic can be applied to the contrary in a scenario in which the soundtrack can perform good and have longevity along with the movie success, there are traditional musical songs on 'The greatest Showman' which have +800M streams, movie that had the same ASIB gross and JFAD will be lot bigger than that not to mention there weren't even big music stars in that soundtrack-movie.

Well I never seen you around here defending her jazz eras whereas I punctually found myself getting called out when I defend said projects with people from this fanbase acting like they don't exist, last discussion happened just one week ago, so I find hilarious that now the jazz era suddenly is being considered in the same way of a new studio album one in order to fit a certain narrative when it usually doesn't but anyway it doesn't change my argument.

 

Everything for the L4S era was filmed and done in advanced with the album released 2 months before the movie release + consequent actual promo, there hasn't been any overlap between the two projects if not the release of 2 tv specials filmed 6 months in advance when she was free, she didn't promote them side to side, even the Grammy performance happened after the Oscars, she did the promo for one and then for the other.

TCB film is just the beginning. The possibilities from now to October are endless. Lemme get hyped a bit.

At the end of the day, none of us are privy to her actual plans about how busy she wants her schedule to be in the latter half of the year. She's been MIA from the spotlight for so long and she's more private than ever these days which also makes things much harder to guess and predict.

 

But this year is shaping up to be such a banner year for her already so ideally she should be taking full advantage of that type of immense, culturally omnipresent visibility and seize the moment by releasing LG7 in late summer-early fall and make her big year even bigger (which I actually do think is what she was slyly hinting at when she wrote "This year will be an important and meaningful year for us I know. Music changes people lives." in her bday ig post)

If she's releasing the album before the election/movie, she must be finishing the album either this month or the next. I imagine she'll be prepping for Joker 2 promo by August. I can't imagine her still working on the album by then. It just depends if she wants to do a longer album or where she's at creatively which seems to be in a great place. Everything is pointing to August/September.  

Everything BUT music continuing to get released I see. And Chromatica content for that matter.

Chronically theater obsessed theater people will stream TGS soundtrack until their final days on this planet.  It's not at all an indication of long-term popularity or success amongst the GP imo.  The Joker 2 soundtrack will likely fall into this category, but it's likely to suffer from the same fate.  Theater classics are not popular and covers rarely ever chart.  
 

ASIB consisted of original pop and rock songs, genres that most people love and listen to on a daily basis.
