Yes, this special is coming 4 years after the fact but momma really brought the final pieces (Fortnite, Film Special, etc.) of this era home. She really does care about this album.

But yeah although I think her involvement with the album was very low compared to her usual (no production credits) it's nice to see that she has taken a lot more creative control since the tour, and now especially with the tour film. Hopefully this energy continues for LG7. It's definitely a good sign for me.

The last time a special won was in 2012… The Monster Ball won the year before (the last year when specials and series were still split)

it's a possibility, like they will abbreviate some interludes? and the long ass speeches during the piano parts + they'd probably cut a bit of the Free Woman end + the final speech she did in LA

Not me being late and only just seeing the announcement now  I gagged, I was always kinda a CBT being released truther and now I get to receive

Out of ALL her (broken) promises over the years, this is not the one we wanted!! Love her but can we let this era DIE omg.

 

But now I see her plan… she is trying to sweep every award show next year. With the concert film (Emmys), Joker (Oscars, etc.), and possibly LG7 (or the lead single at least, or a song from Joker - Grammys). I personally think she should pull a Billie and wait till award season is over to start LG7 era at this point though.

hopefully we also get a dvd like the monster ball, even if we are in 2024

Oh she wacked us both. The fact the announcement for the film came like 30 mins after us saying her pop career was headed to the grave.
