I cringe at TikTok videos using Gaga's Judas, users (probably Gen Z) talking about how blasphemous the song is vs those that defend it and saying it is a metaphor.

Babes, it's almost 13 years the religious discourse about this song has passed, for goodness sake the release of this song and the video was within Easter 2011. :bibliahh:

I still remember the rumors of her taking blood baths and performing satanic rituals. :deadbanana2:

In September 2011, the shocking news that many had suspected for years was confirmed. Lady Gaga's former hairstylist came forward and exposed her ties to Lucifer himself. It was a shocking moment for us fans, and indeed the world.

*He also stated she would stare at him when he cut with the scariest of eyes. The devil's eyes. Michael Pooter, who cut her hair since January 2010, said in a interview for "Stylists of the *****s" magazine that when he confronted her about it she told him she would eat his children if he ever told anyone....

"She was usually liquored up on cheap whiskey when she came in for treatment. One day, when she was mumbling more than normal, which I found out later was her actually speaking in tongues, I saw the number 666 on her scalp and I quickly asked for God to protect me. She rose up out of her chair and floated 3 feet above the ground while yelling…..”

“YOUR GOD IS NOT HERE MICHAEL. NOR WILL HE EVER BE. NOW GIVE ME SOME MORE HIGHLIGHTS AND TRIM MY BANGS YOU WORTHLESS *beep*”

But anyway. I know I’m preaching to the choir. It’s just tiring having the constant “what could’ve been” type conversation related to her music releases.

And you notice how we never really have these same conversations about her film career because it's always managed well? Both movies she's starred in have had good promo, smart release dates, and lots of public appearances/interviews (though I hope she's more exclusive with these during J:FaD). Even if J:FaD doesn't pan out as expected, I don't think that'll be because of a messy rollout or lack of promo. Whereas her music career is also very promo-sensitive, there's no guarantee that it'll get the streamlined release or enough promo (playlisting, radio deals, multiple versions, ect.) that it'll need to do well.

Gaga has ONE lackluster era in terms of promo and appearances (which was caused by reasons outside of her control) and people lose their minds. I'd reserve these grand analysis of her eras being messy and lacking promo until AFTER LG7 era is wrapped up. :priceless:

I suppose you can make the argument that Joanne and ARTPOP eras were messy and/or lacked (correct) promo but I was fed enough content throughout those eras personally.

I don’t think her label invests in her as much as their other newer artists that they are more likely to generate from. If she pulls in decent numbers for the lead single, they might invest in other singles but the lead single has to be the right one and that’s where it has been going wrong since ARTPOP. If the second single does well, she might do a side project like John Wayne and 911 but labels only invest in singles if there’s demand for it. Her movies and the soundtrack were promoted and managed differently and had the demand, but studio albums are a much more complex ball game

I don't know if Warner Music Group is still affiliated with Warner Bros. but maybe it's time for her to switch to a publisher that will actually get her the promo her career needs.

Either way, it’s interesting to see how it’s going to play out. Hopefully the album comes sooner than 2025.

Her pop eras have been lackluster for a decade, but OK. It’s always been drama between Laurianne and whatever else.

ARTPOP and Chromatica can be classified as messy/lackluster eras because of the pandemic and because ARTPOP had a literal mess in management occur at the beginning of the era, hence both eras coming to an end quickly.

Joanne was a standard, average era. It probably feels messy to some fans because the public really didn't click with the music until the Superbowl, but she did indeed deliver enough content.

Interscope also botched Olivia and (especially) Billie's latest album rollouts, so Gaga's team isn't the (only) problem here. Though she does need to choose the correct lead this time around; that's not even up for debate.

The way any of the Sony or Warner labels would give her more promo (and she wouldn't even have to do anything). Hell, there's other UMG labels like Republic that would probably do better with playlisting and radio deals too. But she's never leaving Interscope regardless unless she drops her music career

I'm just asking for a strong lead with a chorus, good playlisting, and semi-decent cybersecurity this time around

Here comes the screeching chorus with competing drums where you can’t hear the words

Oh and the song will kick off with 20 seconds of distorted audio to ensure it bombs on streaming

:suburban:

The trumpeter saying he's in deep sh*t for simply posting a photo in the studio sounds like the single isn't coming any time soon. If it's really coming in February, then it's probably late February.

As messy as the ARTPOP roll out was, it was never boring. Chromatica on the other hand, I wouldn't call it messy because let's be real, it was mostly non existent anyway.

Maybe it’s because she wants a total surprise release in the near future

You forgot the part where they don't put it on TTH until 4 weeks after release at the grand position of #36

But it won't matter because the song will leak two months before release and kill all the goodwill Bloody Mary generated on US radio

Wouldn't this mean the opposite, and that he's in deep trouble because they're on the cusp of work being released?

It would make no sense for the Haus to give someone grief over a selfie for a project that isn't coming out soon.

This I pray.

If we get another damn billboard on the back alley of some street in L.A. or a random NYCHA project building in NYC, I'm going to assume her team are ******* with us.
