This makes me think that if she releases next year and if what she releases connects with the GP, several of her biggest catalogue songs (Shallow, Poker Face, ect.) may chart in the Spotify Global 200 for a while. We can hope, anyways.

I have it ending 2023 with around 930-935 million streams. It if averages 750,000 daily streams, then it'd hit 1 billion sometime around March-April. If it averages 800,000-850,000 daily streams, then it's locked for 1 billion in March.

The good: Catalog streams are healthier than ever. No more streaming poison and forgagatten narrative.

The bad: Catalog songs are doing great that she has no urgency to release new music.

Yeah, the way they mismanaged Bloody Mary will never not be infuriating (at least it's still becoming a Halloween classic regardless and we have the Wednesday season 2 boost to look forward to). Now if she releases the LG7 lead featuring Bad Bunny, we could have another 1b streaming smash on the way

Yep, the way her team said NO, but it still ended up being a huge classic. Not even Gags herself can make her music flop completely. Would love a BB collab, but I kinda need her to have another solo smash to keep haters shut first.

That's a good idea. Have a solo hit first (and preferably one that doesn't leak a month in advance) and then the collab smash second single. Basically Chrome's rollout with promo and without leaks or a pandemic.

I mean, they had a good plan, but then, they also had and chose Stupid Noise. The self sabotage was there from the get go.

 

Stupid Love is such a fun bop, and the verses are overlooked

I have a personal prediction that with Joker 2 being such a huge public project that will undeniably have many eyes on her, she'll feel the pressure to release work that truly resonates with the public. Lettuce pray.
