Plastic Hearts is not a good album to reference since most of the songs aged like avocados but Andrew Watt is still a much better pop producer than Bloodpop. A win is a win.

As huge as Gaga was at her peak, I think an alternate universe where she embarked on the Fame Kills Tour would’ve made her even bigger, and added to her longevity.

I do not agree. I think a big part of what garnered her, her massive fanbase was the Monster Ball and its "love yourself, it is okay to be a weirdo" message. I think had she toured with Kanye, she would not have been able to/allowed to hammer that message so hard because the audience would not have been as receptive. To this day, many of her longtime fans call TMB one of the most transformative moments of their lives.

 

I think the attention/success the Kanye tour would have brought her would have been fleeting and boxed her into the kind of artist who would not have been able to go on to release Born This Way.
