this is the key to why she is accepted by any industry. She works with legends in a specific field and doesn't do it cheaply or a shortcut.

Not all MGM hotels/casinos in Vegas being under a huge cyber attack.   Apparently it's really bad and everything is shut down. She doesn't have another show until 2 weeks but I'm sure it will hurt the jazz shows.

But yes, she is accepted by legends and talented people in industry which is much bigger than the VMAs or even a pop radio hit. Her talent is the forefront.

ASIB expanded Gaga's audience more than the Fame Kills tour would have and ASIB placed her career in a beautiful position to uniquely expand into other artistic mediums that 99.9% of pop artists can't break. ASIB, Shallow, and ARUTW probably would have never happened if Gaga hadn't been forced to rehabilitate her Artpop'd image. Not to mention the implications her career would have taken with Kanye going into alt-right mode these past few years.

Gaga was talking about wanting to act from day one though. I'm imagining a world with ASIB and Fame Kills. She'd be unstoppable.

Makes sense in a world with both, but I don't see how ASIB could have come into existence with Fame Kills.

Gaga met Bradley performing jazz at a charity event. Gaga wouldn't have ventured into jazz had Artpop not tanked her career, and Artpop likely wouldn't have been greenlit (or BTW) for that matter with an audience overlapping Kanye's audience. Gaga also switched to music when her acting ventures in the mid 2000s weren't panning out. ASIB wouldn't have been guaranteed in a world with Fame Kills when Beyonce and J-Lo were being considered to start opposite Bradley.

Gaga already collabed with Tony during BTW, and recorded C2C before ARTPOP was released. Yall have really let OGHs rewrite Gaga's entire narrative.

There is an early interview with Jamie Lee Curtis and Gaga where Jamie, while polite, was still skeptical of Gaga’s acting. Gaga really had to deal with people underestimating her talents right from the start.

The recording for C2C started in June of 2013 two months before the artpop era began.

they probably didn't do as much back then, they recorded for over a year so yeah from the BTS we got from the music videos during that era, my guess is that most of it got really done by early to mid-2014

She had to over-come the perception of another blonde pop tart kind of tea - unfortunately what we like is seen as 'low brow' to the masses

Even the girls here angry she sang that song to open her SB -  she took every opportunity

Gaga did what she did the same thing during TFM, this time she just did it with her vocals and raw talent to show she had it

They did. The whole album was done in less than 2 months (june-august 2013). Initially set to be released on January, 2014, but the release was pushed back to March 18, 2014, with the final release date set for September 23, 2014.
