Applause and Perfect Illusion are two of her best leads (and songs) so I don't know what you're talking about I fear

The song that shall not be named remains her only miss, and I'm 100% sure the LG7 lead will be better

Sorry, but I was SO underwhelmed by PI upon first listen, and I don’t think it was what people were hoping for after ARTPOP. I liked Applause on first listen, but those verses just aren’t great, and something about the delivery is just corny, which is something I never felt about previous Gaga leads.

PI wasn't a perfect lead from a commercial pov but I still appreciate her coming back with something so unexpected. Not like there were many options on Joanna anyway. And I still think Applause was just thee perfect lead honestly. All those theories about Aura/Sexxx Dreams theories were just delulu'd to me. The song is perfect for radio, working out, bopping, etc. And it became one of her biggest radio hits/longest running Top 10s.

I think Aura and Sexxx Dreams would’ve at least been seen as “cool” by Gen Z and Millennials. Applause came off so old fashioned tbh.

PI could've been so much better if it wasn't for her horrible horrible voice in it. I don't know what was up with her at that time but it felt like she was proud of singing in that ugly ass nasal shouty voice back in 2013-2017.

Now we both know Aura would have served Top 10 (from hype alone) - OUT, and Sexxx Dreams might have been "cool" for young audiences back then but the censorship isnt really worth it. The song isnt even THAT strong to be a lead single tbh. It gives off 3rd-4th single vibes. 

Gaga has turned into a Rihanna copycat. Desperately wanting a to have a make-up empire (in her dreams ) She used to be an absolute revolutionizing FORCE in POP music, POP culture and the music industry. 
 

Now the single thing she’s passionate about is selling make-up. A JOKE

If she listened to her fans, she’d be releasing dated songs with redone and her albums would chart worse than Katy

Applause still got horribly overshadowed by a Sara Bareilles ripoff and Blurred Lines anyway. At least Aura and Sexxx Dreams would’ve sold the ALBUM and ERA better and continued Gaga’s legacy as a provocative artist. I think she needed to do a bit more to compete with Miley at the time in that department.
