Finally letting go of the old Gaga ( especially the one in her 20s) is extremely liberating. I will forever cherish that specific phase of her career with all my heart but wanting her to stay forever that way artistic - wise is extremely dangerous and toxic. That shite can 100% turn you into an OGH. No joke.

Literally did this myself in 2018. Some people here are hung to too much on the past.  Her and her career changed in 2014 and she hasn’t looked back, and the industry has totally changed too. That’s why Her last album hit home to a few of us, a good throwback to the 2010s dance pop era.

Stupid Love was a horrible song that didn’t even introduce the theme/sound of the album. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Why they didn’t go with a house influenced song I’ll never know. It’s like they got a Max Martin credit and thought “wow this will do well”.

Although, given the rumoured new single when SL leaked was Fun Tonight, she shouldn’t be allowed to pick lead singles.

The only thing that annoys me about current Gaga is the lack of appearances on talk shows and content in general.

I get it. She's a superstar not in need of doing those, but so is Taylor Swift and she's all over the place.

I just miss seeing her speak her mind on things. And perform, obviously.

Edit: Okay, her whole powerful bitchy persona was also much more fun than the granny she presents herself as currently, but Chromatica Ball fixed that and so will the J: FAD press tour for sure.

I called out a rumour of the title being Stupid Love and thought it just sounded like a different way of saying Bad Romance so was clearly fake :deadbanana:

literally the only song on the album that would have been even worse :dies:

I honestly like SL. It’s a great pop song.

Gaga has been struggling commercially since her third album, anything from Chromatica would’ve free-fell. Literally anything pop from Gaga free-falls. It even happened to Bloody Mary… So, why do so much on SL?
For LG7 I want a focus on lyrics and to just step in a totally new direction and hopefully get her best work free from being compared to her first two albums  :alexz3:

The way I was ready to hit the like button but then you had to contiue with this, respexctfully, imo incorrect interpretation of facts. Gaga is having lowered commercial success ever since late 2011 and there’s nothing wrong with that. Her success was immense and can’t be compared to anything or anyone for that matter.

All of her follow up albums underperformed when compared to her first, let’s say, two ones, nothign wrong with that either. It’s really not about her doing pop music but it’s just the way it is.

Her success with ASIB was amazing and no fluke but the reason behind it wasn’t only the fact that she recorded different kind of music for her.

Meh, I had to hit the thank you reaction instead because you clearly put more effort in writing that most of us do.

Stupid Love was a flop, there's nothing wrong with being in touch with reality. However, we are 3 years late with these claims.

I think this could be perfect with the songs I added! And maybe 2 news songs instead of one? One single, with Doja Cat, and one song kinda like Thank You For the Music by ABBA?

All the country songs topping the Hot 100 and clogging the Top 10. Joanne was too ahead of its time.

Godanne having an entire country impact section on its wiki page is such a slay.

And fomos in here dare to call it a bad album.

I’m not literally like some hater - I’m saying the opposite. Objectively she struggles  with longevity, so do we accept the music is bad? We know that’s not true because she’s acclaomed…  The genre? Does she Isolate casuals? Food for thought.

Re ASIB she had extremely good music, put on a smash film, timeless production, a focus on lyrics/melody, released in fall, older target audience not just gays.   Basically, it combated all her weaknesses in one go. And she was transitioned to streaming that way too (for various ways). Regarding promotion dance pop relies on playlisting/radio, (Gaga does bad there esp USA) the ASIB songs had relatively bad playlisting longevity, and poor USA radio support - but it didn’t matter as much cause It had the film behind it.

Did you mean the Million Reasons music video? Because I can agree that it is her worst music video to date but the song is beautiful.

Bloody Mary and INLA are much bigger tho. Peaks don't show the whole picture. For exemple, Dope peaked at #8 while Always Remember Us This Way at #41...

I'm currently more interested in Gag's acting career than her music career. 2009Ga would agree.

Ok, but a Top 10 is automatically a hit, no need more arguments for a GH inclusion.

BM and INLA need to explain why they are included in a greatest hits
