It didn't even bomb, it's just the fact that it contains her worst ever writing and how she was clearly on some really heavy drugs at the time that ruins it for me.  That YouTube Awards Dope performance is terrifying

What a bad and superficial take, a take clearly heavily influenced from what haters were saying here back in the day just because the era didn't smash in the same way of her previous ones.

 

Sure the era had its issues, but defined it and reduced the whole era as depressing or even "disgusting" also in the light of Katy success is just disrespectful to Gaga as artist and her work ethic.

 

She still delivered some of her best and most brilliant performances that era, working her ass off, just to list a few.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joanne was mid but releasing it wasn't a mistake, not releasing anything till late 2018 was tho. We should've gotten something in 2017, mixtape, ep whatever.

Joanne was created as a palate cleanser in order to balance the messiness and embarrassment of ARTPOP. 

 

 

If Gaga released another pop-like album after ARTPOP, the public would completely abandon her due to oversaturation.

Joanne hate is always so funny to me because it was Gaga's last legit full era with decent promo and the hatred always comes from fans who want her to do a traditional era with promo.
