no one is doing eras anymore, mvs are irrelevant, talk show performances too (especially the kind gaga was doing). You release an album, promote it through playlisting and tik tok, give one or two long interviews in places like Zach Sang Show, play those stupid games like Hot Ones, them maybe grammy performance and tour. Promo is not time consuming anymore, other than touring that can happen months after album release anyway.

Also remixes and rereleases are also the way now, look at Midnights.

Not releasing the sped up version of Bloody Mary was also a missed opportunity. It is ok to dump random songs on streaming services, it will have no affect on her artistic integrity in the long run

Gaga is one of those artists who will always bring some kinda promo/visual to her album eras. Yea keeping up with the times she gonna do less but this is when she should entertain more collabs and sounds that are Gaga but digestable to the GP. Remixes work too.

It's normal, HOG is not the kind of movie that you watched multiple times once you watched it and knows how it ends, this applies to all the dramas-thrillers, not to mention with that length.

ASIB is different with the music on it, I personally enjoyed more HOG as movie, Gaga delivered her best peformance.

yall remember how itunes festival was released as a live album but they deleted it? i wish they would add it again  it was better than artpop album anyways

I think Gar is too old-fashioned and set in her ways. This kind of stuff just is not on her mind the way it is for someone like Taylor. I think it may stem from her being comfortable and happy with her position in the industry so she does not feel the need to "conform" or "adapt", and the only time any of this kind of stuff happens is if her team does it for her.

Same    I saw ASIB twice at the theaters and watched it on streaming a couple times and will have it on in the background if it's on TV. But for HOG.... I didn't watch it until it was out on streaming and I watched it that one and only time

I've watched ASIB like 10 times (4 times at the theaters)

and watched HOG twice (once at the theaters and once on my computer)

I've always seen it as a recalibration to the mystique she had at the very beginning of her career. It's probably also intentional because her relationship with her fans, no matter how endearing, was bad for her.

My hope is that she's finally in a place where she can do what she wants without fan interference, label interference, etc. She's always talked ill about social media (calling it a toilet bowl on Jimmy Fallon after her Oscar win) so she probably justifiably hates it now.

I don't know, but personally I prefer this way than those popstars-celebrities that are continuosly on social media sharing pointless stuff that majority of time end up to be problematic or an obnoxious flaunt of their status, in this way when she appears it feels like more an event indeed.
