That TikTok gives me the ick, putting the fact that she was bleeding after her breakdowns alluding to her SH and deleting comments about it doesn’t feel right to make public. Not to mention the relationship was entirely emotionally abusive and weird with the age gap, so yeah, no wonder she was acted the way she did at the time

It saddens me that Gaga was treated differently by the world compared to legends that came before her. They wanted her to fall instead of flourish and turned their backs on her after her massive first two albums. We are in a different age now where impact doesn’t translate to longevity. She was never going to have it easy after making such an impact for these few years. She went from dominating the world for what made her different to trying to blend in and it makes me sad

How on earth is she "trying to blend in"?

 

What other artist in the world is releasing a 90's-house inspired album with cyberpunk aesthetics and a jazz album of Cole Porter covers within one calendar year of each other? She's never tried to "blend in" a day in her career.

 

Literally none of her albums have ever followed a trend of that time, besides possibly The Fame Monster which following with the electro-pop trend that she was a huge part in creating.

I’m talking about more visually than musically. What made her massive culturally was her high art music videos and fashion, and she stopped doing it/held back a lot when she realised it was putting the public off her, hence leaving the ARTPOP era to die when it dropped, and going for a basic image change with Joanne/ASIB. Chromatica had potential with the theme, photoshoots, cover but it wasn’t executed in the videos. Stupid Love was clearly a rush job after the song leaked, ROM was a step in the right direction, but she ruined it by doing nothing for months

Did you forget what happened to Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse and so on? Tones of big legends-popstar were targeted as well.

 

Gaga is now a respected artist that proved her talent, she grow up and evolved, what she did early in her career was right at that age and time, she would be ridicolous and felt forced now in keep doing or replicate what she was doing 16 years ago (see Katy or Madonna).
