But After Hours was a heavily promoted BIG ERA.

 

A short film prior to release, released 4 singles (giving him 3 more #1s), late night show performances, Super Bowl, he made a Guest Appearance (not just a cameo) for American Dad, made videos for 3 After Hours album track, he released a remix album of After Hours, made collaboration with Universal Parks & Resort, dabbled in augmented virtual experience/concert with TikTok and Spotify.

 

All this he did when he is already an established artist on his 4th album with 3 #1s under his belt (like what Gaga has when ARTPOP era started). What's more impressive is he has done this on a very heavy COVID restriction in 2020.

 

So yes, we can still have big album rollouts on the streaming era, it's up to the artist and record label if they wanted to.

 

We can praise Gaga for she is a TABS but to downplay others with clearly false narrative is such blind stanning behavior.

Where in the **** did I say anything bad about any of those other eras???? I said ARTPOP and Joanne (and ASIB to an extent) had just as much content as they did. Gaga was everywhere during ARTPOP and Joanne, and because of the nature of promoting a film, everywhere with ASIB as well. So it makes zero sense to act like Gaga didn't do anything for those eras just because y'all didn't like what she did.

 

I also said big eras don't happen anymore. And they don't; a couple of outliers don't disprove that. Could Gaga theoretically have a big era? Sure, but she'd have to pay for it all and do it all herself, which she's not going to do. 

 

We can talk about how she could've done more for Chromatica, because she could've, but the narrative doesn't stand true for her other eras.
