didnt know what the music video for Marry The Night was about when I was a teen (just a tiny bit I knew of) and still don't know wtf the beginning intro is about 11 years later. But its slaying. A beautiful, perfectly excecuted song AND video.

It's kinda shocking to me that we've never seen any of her prom photos. The photos of her wearing the blue dress is actually her attending someone else's prom as their date.

I mean, it's been pretty spot on. I fully expected and predicted it to stall in the 5000-7000 spin range, and it has. lol. It's done at pop. The chance of it getting a second wind, while possible, just seems unlikely at this point, especially with Escapism and Calm Down getting a second wind and other songs like Love Again and Special getting big early support. 

 

For a song that's DOA on US Spotify/AM and charting on the H100 mainly from its radio play, it's not unexpected or surprising. It did as well as it could for what it is. Like, the fact pop radio is STILL supporting her is kinda crazy when you think about it. If only she could fully capitalize it for once and come back with the perfect lead single, or even droplet.

Just listen to the instrumentals, for one. The production on songs like Aura/Venus/GUY/MJH/even Fashion! and others is more dynamic than most Chromatica songs bar Replay.

 

It just hits harder. Chromatica is more cohesive and flows smoother along with having more mature lyrics, but AP has that Gaga punch. It has fire and passion behind it.
