The only thing in common is that both have been mismanaged for different reasons and not being exploited to their full potential, especially visually and with wrong choices of singles.

Erm, I feel like ARTPOP was def. given every opportunity in the world to thrive and it just didn't connect with the public.

It doesn't help that Gaga has never really had a good PR team so all of those rumors about her back then left a bad taste in the public's mouth. I still cannot get over the fact that Interscope allowed Angela Cheng to single-handedly derail the campaign.  Taylor or Beyonce would've had that person assassinated.

Seeing Gaga fans pretend to like ARTPOP after all these years will never not be funny. Anybody who lived through that wretched era knows nearly every fan hated that **** and dragged her every single day. These are the same people who will "love Chromatica" in five years dddd.

I mean, is this even a real question? ARTPOP is the definition of peaks and (very low valleys) - but mostly valleys. Chromatica is really well done no matter how much this base is angry the era got wrecked by 2020.

Idk y’all, if she’s wrapping filming in March and the film doesn’t drop til October of next year, that’s 1,5 years of nothing known on her schedule… I really think we could get LG7 in a year. 
 

Unless she wants to get pregnant or do another movie. And that very well may be the case. But still, I have hope.

we know she still has Vegas dates to fulfill, there were rumors of a new pop show replacing Enigma

I do hope we get a bit of music coming this year even a lead single by Quarter 4, album Q1 of 2024, stadium tour from May-September 2024, release of Joker 2 in October 2024, then take a break to start a family if she wants to

Yes, after all ARTPOP is BTW's successor, Gaga's image and position did not help the case but ARTPOP def had more exposure than Chromatica. 

 

Don't get me wrong ARTPOP is not a bad album, but Chromatica is way better specially when it comes to consistency and lyrics. Like Chromatica has Replay, ROM, Alice, Enigma, Sour Candy, Babylon, 911, FW... The album's concept is embodied better. I'd argue even the few visuals we got were better.

 

Now ARTPOP as an era is better than Chromatica as an era. Had more performances, her getting out of hotels being an event, all the messines, iTunes festival, she herself, the promo... it was mess after mess, we couldn't catch a break, a shame that the era hurt her on a personal level 

I think she's gonna quietly start working on LG7 this summer, Vegas dates in the fall. Hopefully LG7 era can start Q1 of 2024, lead in March, album in May. Then she can do another (quick) summer stadium tour from June-August, with Joker promo/campaigning starting in late August/September 2024. However knowing she takes a while working on albums, I'm kind of scared she won't finish before Joker, and we won't get LG7 until 2025.

How many dates in Vegas are left? It's been like 5 years  hopefully she doesn't extend her contract

Oh lord. She can kick those Vegas dates down the road or just cancel them hopefully. It wasn't her fault she couldn't fulfill them anyway. If she's doing the whole baby thing (which I am not sure of) she'd probably not do that in between now and JFADs release. If Baby Gaga is coming she's coming in 2025 or later. And if there's no LG7 this year or next that'll likely put LG7 many years down the road.

Chromatica just feels "complete" to me, whereas ARTPOP sounds desperate and like a popstar struggling to keep her place in the pop world. Gaga really needed to switch things up at that point but instead jumped on a trend that was beginning to fade at that time. Granted it was fading because of her own doing and saturation, but still.

 

Chromatica with an iTunes Festival-like performance would've been amazing. Her ARTPOP performances are still some of her best.

She can't just kick those shows down the road lol. A contractual obligation must be fulfilled. I imagine she even extends her contract because easy money + she loves to do it. Didn't pay any attention to this year's award season, only through Gaga's mention I knew Baftas happened.

But WOW, they chose an all white winners line up for this year, what a slap on the face for Asian nominees when they have a breakout this year. EEATO as the Oscars front runner got ONE win for its editing and it's a white nominee. Tragic award academy.

She literally said multiple times during Chromatica era “ i would do anything for gays” and previously said “ i would take bullet for you” 

So i highly disagree with what you said stop making up sh-t y’all. 

If there is anything this woman care about its her fans. She knows her fans do all the job for her. 

for what it's worth, Chroma Ball put back confidence inside her and also was a good way to show promoters that she was able to not only book those venues but sell them out (ouside of Houston) and complete the whole tour

btw Bloody Mary is at 820k-850k RIAA units tho 

She is coming for x1 Platinum in 4-5 weeks.
