Dance pop was at it's height and Adele was one of the few acts smashing without four-on-the-floor dance thumpers. In retrospect, the Born This Way era was executed pretty well. Even with the slight Judas setback, she produced a top 10 and one of her most iconic music videos. Marry the Night didn't even tank as hard as it felt in the end of the era. Gaga was just riding so high from 11 consecutive top ten hits that a #29 peak felt like a flop. What I'd give for Bloody Mary to get there now.
