LG6 was always going to be a dance record after Joanne. Interscope never "forced" her to do it. They obviously still intervene but she pretty much has a looot of creative control/freedom over what she wants to do with her music. Especially since renewing her contract in 2016.

Ow thanks for the explanation ! My ass was misunderstanding her interviews from that time,thinking she hated dance music  I mixed up things,when for example she wanted to make "1000 Doves" a ballad and they told her it wasnt possible, i thought she was blaming her label...

kinda crazy how she went from being an opening act in May of 2009 and then headlining her own tour in November of the same year 

also that opening clip, the 'Haus Of Gaga presents' - chills 

she doesn't HATE dance music, it's literally what started her

I think at first she didn't feel like making it cause she was so down, hence why 1000 Doves started out as a ballad, but I think she was still halfway through the making of the album anyway and yes I bash Bloodpop, but he just told her that a ballad on a record such on Chromatica was gonna feel off and made it dance, uplifting its message I guess.

I also think she got detached from Chromatica bc she felt the universe was against it: COVID, BLM, lockdowns... and then her own personal life got some changes: a family member being in the ICU, then her prepping for House of Gucci, and then Love For Sale was happening and she was like "whats the point?" + since the era was already planned as very short (February to August 2020) with a lot of content in that timeframe, they didn't keep it going and thank god, they did the tour and she honored I think the actual reasoning of Chromatica: a very dark album

I think the reason why I didn't connect as much is bc outside the album photoshoot and some photoshoot she did for the era: the mvs didn't match the sound imo and felt more poppier than the actual meaning behind the lyrics

I think Gaga needs to start fresh next era, not try to recreate old songs from hers and the best way for her to do that is: work with producers she hasn't worked with before imo

Fans get very hung up on this dance smashing thing, and living for the idea TFM happening again. I’ve never quite got that, it’s been a long time since her pop peak and she didn’t decide to go with dance every era, wbk that now since Act 2 shelved . but Katy has been doing the same thing since 2010 

on that note, it’s not Mileys new label that got her a hit - it’s a really trendy song with relatable lyrics. Y’all acting like Gaga’s last studio album had no TTH exposure. Chromatica was very very well executed streaming wise

Chromatica only missteps in streaming was when 911 video was labeled as Chromatica III hence preventing it from charting on Hot 100 and giving more units to BB200 back then

also ROM kinda deserved more time on TTH, it was still doing better than Stuck With U and got deleted like months before SWU did

The Chromatica stans need not to worry about its current poor streams. Plastic Doll is coming and will trend on TikTok once the Barbie movie drops and it will have 5m streams daily

Was Beadley Cooper even involved in any of the creative process to be his song as well?

No one in real life cares whether a hit is solo, a feature, a co-lead, an old song, a re-release, etc. It's fun to kii about it here sometimes but nothing too serious.

She does not hate the album, she doesn’t even dislike the album. Gaga’s career since Joanne has been planned to a T. That is very obvious. 

 

After ASIB she was in talks to be in HoG and probably probably knew if she was going to release an album it would need to be before but due to personal issues, she found it difficult to make upbeat music. However, Bloodpop pulled her out of it and they managed to get it together. Once Covid happened, a lot of what was planned was scrapped and they moved on. They still have us three videos, a great performance, and incredible tour, and a remix album on top of some pretty great content (vinyl releases, merch, etc.)

 

She is not in a place in her career to try and squeeze out every penny out of an album they can get because every 6 months she’s on to a new project. They got what they wanted from the album, threw in some “gifts for the fans” and that’s it!

 

The fact Chromosome is struggling to stabilize around 800k+ daily stream is so embarrassing tbh. This won’t be happen if Replay was the lead single
