Meanwhile, it feels like Parris hasn't been mentioned in centuries, despite being an obvious great source of inspiration and skill for The Mayhem Ball. Part of it is Gaga's own doing, as she has this tendency, since ASIB, to attribute everything about the era she's in to one man, for some reason. It was "thank you, Bradley", then "thank you, Bloodpop", then "thank you, Ridley Scott", and now it's "thank you, Michael". Yeah, the one thing that's changed this era (fortunately) is that with MAYHEM she's spoken a lot about her own work, her own identity as an artist, and going back to what she created as a trademark. I've enjoyed seeing that confidence in herself in interviews. I've posted before about it, but I still get wary whenever anyone mixes romance and their work directly. I wish them nothing but the best, but we've seen cases (ie. Mariah Carey and others) where when it doesn't go the way expected, it can have some severe impacts when it's intermingled so much. Lastly, I also have always found it bizarre when fans of any artist start interacting with their partners — Especially those that very clearly prefer a private life like Michael Polansky..
