Pop field is gonna demand on the power of her name. She is obviously the biggest, most respected name in the bunch but will that translate to wins?

We got the most important nominations and on top of that, Disease and Harlequin gained some recognition and visibility

3 rap albums getting into AOTY is good for us (vote-splitting). Of course Mayhem has to contend with this too (Swag and MBF) but they were largely already predicted whereas Chromakopia and LGSEO were not. Of course Gaga and Kendrick have the strongest narratives and Bad Bunny is also a strong contender as predicted. We shall see. 
 

Another interesting tidbit is that some of the larger voting blocs (rock, country, ect.) don't have an album in AOTY. So it'll be interesting to see where there votes are allocated. Even though she didn't get any noms in rock this year, I feel like a decent bit of those voters may lean Gaga. MBF is the most country-adjacent album though so that may also be something worth considering.

Yeah that AOTY is definitely going to Kendrick, but I feel like Gaga will snatch at least one GF win (going home with 3-4 Grammys overall)

I can see Disease getting the win tbh. The nominees are weak compared to when she won with Joanne, like if Joanne won over Beck, Camilla, Post Malone and Ariana, why can't Disease?

I'm not an expert with the Grammys, do we have a pattern in the noms that could tell us if the academy liked MAYHEM enough to give it some love in the general fields? 

the producer and songqriter categories dont affect AOTY at all

sometimes they match but is not the rule

Considering the Pop Field fully supported her, they should've tried and submit Killah for Pop Dup ugh..

good for her, surprised Abra was snubbed from music video but so were other big videos I expected to see there

I mean her noms were pretty much expected, if PF had gotten into Rock, and Abra into MV category, it would show more support imo. 
 

Disease on Pop Solo and Harlequin were iffy since both are from last year but they were still likely.

Only MAYHEM and Swag got Producer of the Year out of all AOTY nominees.
