Shes at the stage of her career she could wake up any day and break her contract and say; nah, I'm done. All of this without mentioning she's physically ill and has decades of severe mental health challenges. She has the money to call it quits. She doesn't. Some respect to her name would be nice. Dope is an amazing song but the issue with that one was that people just didn't want a ballad on ARTPOP just like they didn't want it on Mayhem, and the vocal choice. You put Dope in Joanne and it's an album highlight and no other ballad comes close. Just like if you stack Dancin In Circles in The Fame it becomes a skip. Brazil Apple Music #4 The Dead Dance (single version) #27 The Dead Dance (mayhem version) this explains why the song is falling on the Apple Music US charts… the album version (I believe) is rising and eating away at the single version's streams. Post release singles rarely work now, sometimes a song will take off post release but it's not usually dictated by whether or not it's a single. However TDD wasn't on Mayhem until it dropped so it has that new single hype going for it. It's just unfortunate that there are better songs on Mayhem that deserved single treatment more and that the GP is slow to check out new Gaga songs...if they do at all.
