Now it seems like she is just doing whatever she can to make as much money as possible. While I was watching the 8 minute tutorial, my boy friend thought I was watching an ad 

Gaga is a commercial artist. And she does sell a lot of merchandise. But Gaga is always passionate about what she sells. The last time she wasn’t passionate was Eau De Gaga and she stopped selling perfume right after that item dropped. 

 

Anyway, Stupid Love and Hold My Hand are both great songs 
 

This ad was smoke and mirrors. 

The line she released then was very bare bones and not anything unique or interesting. The line she has in Sephora now is cleaner, more colorful and sophisticated.

 

I think they weren't happy with the performance of the brand on Amazon so they switched to Sephora. Good choice because she has best sellers on it. 

 

As far as eau de Gaga is concerned I'm pretty sure she was forced to do it, which is why she couldn't care less. I wish they hadn't discontinued Fame perfume though

I prefer the new packaging and the vibrant colors. I do think that she could have went for a more "edgy" packaging but that's clearly what she's / the brand are going fo. It is also still early to judge this whole rebranding, lets see what they have next.

 

But she does sound passionate talking about it, those pretentious essays and even the tutorial sound straight out of an ARTPOP era interview.

You can get the same effect using acrylic paint, compressed charcoal, and a white charcoal pencil. I use these mediums on a regular basis in my artwork and I know makeup should NOT resemble these textures. She should’ve prioritized selling the “natural” aspect of her product to make the consumer know that makeup doesn’t usually look that way.
