What was the rush for TFM/BR when Paparazzi generated her biggest media frenzy/acclaim with the VMA performance AND biggest radio hit at the time AND most acclaimed controversial MV. She even used half of the BR choreo on the Paparazzi SNL performance. There was SO much more potential for Paparazzi but BR was released like one month later . There were clearly last minute plans since they knew BR would be such an event but they slept on the potential of GODarazzi. Anyone who lived through those years knows this song. Let's not forget Gaga was kind of all over the place even getting news pieces done about her all over the world, she was a phenomena then. I'll never forget my mom singing along to it in a mall once. If your mother who is not a music consumer knows a song... that's an impactful one. Bad Romance came at the right time for her, it's also a big song but I don't think it's her signature song. She has several songs that I think down the line she will be more remembered for. Personally i can't listen to the damn song anymore. Paparazzi however is an ear blessing from the production, to the melody and delivery. An eternal hymn if you will.
