so that would give the era a total of around 26m before the album drops. (I’m aware not *great* numbers but not awful awful if there’s a big single incoming). 

 

SO IF they have been saving songs with greater single potential (lighthouse, down to you, rock hudoson etc) for album release, the “weaker” album tracks will have garnered more streams than MoL’s ones had by end of 1 year.

 

if they play out the era to be:

 

• second single released with album (week before/after etc)

• third single autumn 

• push SCYHM this Xmas 

• release new single from bonus version January with deluxe album

 

we’d probably have an overall better era than MoL in terms of streaming. 
 

I suppose my only genuine gripe with this release is that mine didn’t kick off the era better. It’s a good song, and it feels like they tried to emulate HTE (structure), which has done well on streaming for a random cover, but currently both versions combined dailies already outstream mine. 
 

anyways, I’m looking forward to seeing how this era develops, but I do sincerely hope we get some bigger pushes for singles. 

this is PRECISELY how i feel about the strategy, like they are intentionally using the hype leading up to release to boost tracks that maybe won't be the standouts, that way the streaming is a little more even across the album.  even the PLACEMENT of these songs within the tracklist shows a bit of strategy, almost like tentpoles placed evenly throughout so that if people's attention is starting to wane while listening all the way through, a track that people already know is never more than two away.

 

i am not holding my breath for a hit single but it would be nice, especially if skip this part/lighthouse/down to you/rock hudson really do pack the punch that everyone says they do.  those four are the ones i am most looking forward to and i am glad they haven't been released yet tbh.  that's right/my mistake/magic/high road/chemistry will probably just enrich the whole project for me.

RFC is definitely growing on me. It’d be an 8-9 if the production wasnt… that.

Do we think they’ll release Down To You this Friday? They’ve only teased lyrics on Spotify when the song will come out that week’s Friday. I hope not since we’re already getting Lighthouse on the 21st and that’s already half the album. If they do release this week, I’ll just wait to listen to both until the 23rd so I have 9 new songs lol.

Censor from pulse only confirmed Lighthouse for the Wednesday the album drops. I think adding down to you would be excessive. I’m surprised they haven’t done a snippet a day though (maybe they still will) 

I don’t really get the point in teasing skip this part, then no more tease but releasing down to you when we’ve heard lighthouse will be given a different release. It feels weird. Anyways, I’ll sit and take anything that comes our way, just weird is all

Favorite kind of high is in Kelly's top 5 on Spotify. They need to push this as the second single. It's pop gold.
