Not very keen on the new song. It feels kinda generic and the lyrics are nothing special ("I've never been so damn drunk in my life" "took a while but I am bulletproof" ...really?). I like the verses but the chorus is meh. I'd be lying if I said I didnt expect more.

I know Brandon died but let's not act like what the assistant did is remotely comparable to Brandon cheating on his wife with her employees.

The best part of the song is the guitar solo and everything after it. The first two verses and choruses serm kind of lackluster. It reminds me a lot of Chemistry. I agree with those who said that with full creative freedom I wuld expect something more... well, creative and less middle of the road. As for the message, I wuldn't be shocked if it was like MOL music video - it's not a love interest, it's her kids but made to sound like a love relationship to make it more widely appealing

Don't think it's much worse than "Kellebrities"

I think that Mine is very underrated so I'm not opposed to a follow-up of it. Curious about the guitar part.

Dark Side never really clicked for me but at the time everyone (but me) was so sure it would be a huge hit. That being said, iirc there were several factors contributing to DS not taking off: First, Stronger the song was still going strong. Second, there was one promo performance and it was on BBMAs and it was awful. Not vocally but Kelly just stood there all static and it was boring af. Third, they were gonna realease Greatest Hits so they weren't gonna invest in the third single anyway. Tbh LMD was an obvious single choice but other than that, idk what else to release from the album.

Not a fan of the new Xmas song and the cover. The original Xmas songs on WIR and WCCA (standard) are from good to great but I feel like the stand-alone ones or bonus ones are less and less inspired... The album is just ugly and unflattering Who chose that? I wish Kelly moved on from Xmas stuff but UTT but I guess that Atlantic wants their own Xmas classic... PS. Hi y'all.

What's happening? I'm very out of loop as of current music scene

Mine is amazing so I'm glad it's doing good

So the Top3 of Chemistry is imo Skip This Part, Lighthouse and Mine. Honorable mention would be Chemistry. I know a lot of y'all praise Magic all the way but it doesn't really click for me

My signed copy finally arrived today, woohoo! Sounds really good loud on my hi-fi. The front and back of the CD is really pretty but I'm kind of disappointed by the booklet that is just the lyrics and not a single pic. Also finally getting more into the title track, the dreamy vibe is quite refreshing for Kelly. Also really like the acoustic guitar.

Can someone link me to the AMA? I can't find it for the life of me

My Mistake was probably the most memorable out of the not previously released ones for me. The chorus sounds so classic and familiar in a good way.

Might be unpopular opinion but I am adamant that LSS and Mine were great leads and prolly the best songs to represent the respective albums. That being said, MOL's singles should have been LSS -> WYCTL -> WLW

I see the title track more like the beginning of the relationship when she is unsure if she wants to go further but she can't resist it.

Agree. The only track in the original order that makes sense is That's Right. FKOH makes no sense in the middle of the album whatsoever. Overall I feel like FKOH, Magic and Chemistry are kind of out place on the album theme-wise. But it's quite powerful to put them together as "look how perfect the love was" and then go into the songs dealing with pain, betrayal, anger, regret and so on. I get why they put STP as opening song as it is not imo your traditional song but so it is either an opener or an interlude/transition song. But let me tell you, the title track works beautifully as opener.

OK, so I also tried to change the song order to make it like an arch of relationship and this is what I think might be it: 1. Chemistry 2. Favorite Kind of High 3. Magic 4. Skip This Part 5. Mine 6. Lighthouse 7. I Hate Love 8. My Mistake 9. High Road 10. Red Flag Collector 11. Rock Hudson 12. Down To You 13. Me 14. That's Right Basically 1-3 are the happy part of the relationship, then Skip This Part is when it suddenly goes all wrong, with Mine, Lighthouse and IHL being the immediate feelings when trying to deal with the situation. My Mistake and High Road are kind of a transition when it starts to get a bit better. Then with each song Kelly gains more strength and confidence (peaking in Me) and eventually leaves past behind (That's Right). Tbh, I had the most problems with placing RFC but eventually I put it together with Rock Hudson, as a revelation during the divorce (RFC) that he really ain't no knight on a white horse (Rock Hudson). Me is kind of a wierd choice sonically between DTY and That's Right but it makes sense to place it at right before TR as for lyrics. Tbh, this track order makes the album more powerful imo.

I've only heard RH few times but I'm kinda with those who don't rave about it... It's cute but beside the pbp line (which is great), I find it kind of forgettable. I gotta spend more time with Magic and Chemistry because after the 1st listen they felt like filler to me while y'all are all praising them.

If there are 3 singles (cause we didn't really habe more since... um, Breakaway), I think it should be Mine, DTY and Lighthouse.

First impressions after 1st listen: - the album is good - I get why IHL, RFC and That's Right are at the end of the album, they feel like bonus tracks sonically - Chemistry and Magic left the least of impression - overall the album is probably the catchiest Kelly has, some of songs sound instantly so catchy and familiar - Mine was a good lead

I guess I'll wait till the release, dunno where y'all are listening. Reading the reviews, I'm glad the recent meltdowns weren't worth it

My guess is That's Right

^ to me it seems like they are trying to book and/or trademark the "red flag collector" name/website.- Kelly Clarkson
Based on two snippets, Down To You is so far my least favorite of the songs, not really my cup of tea style-wise, but I'll wait for the whole songs for the final judgement. - Kelly Clarkson
