So. Many. Bops. The Getaway was really the one that got away imo. Still baffling how Hollywood Records essentially ditched her 2nd album after she kept their doors open

 

On the plus side, I think it keeps her in the underrated category? New listeners can potentially discover some of the more hidden gems on their own 

 

Here's to hoping Atlantic doesn't mishandle our girl

I'm not overly familiar with the source file you're needing, but I fear it's probably a lost cause to locate given the performance is quite old. She sounds so good singing over the backing track, I need to hear the clear feed.

Mega bops. Any other record label would have made sure to push half of these. The fact that SWOM has as many streams as it does and it wasn't an official single…

You may have a point there Lindsay did work with some of the cast members on mean girls so maybe that's how she was able to get on 

If they will release the new WDAMO i want a small EP. Give us the original version, acoustic, one with choir and disco dance with new vocals each!

Gypsy Woman was never gonna be a single, because it's about her parents, but the rest of those songs are all bops and her career would have being so different had HR release them as singles.

Ya'll....anyone else think My Kind is really about performing/touring? I'm not sure if that's the obvious interpretation (esp. with the video we got of her putting in work) but lyrically it's like she's talking directly to the audience saying we're all alike and connected through the music?

 

In the bridge being "overloaded" kind of hints at the exhaustion that comes with performing or touring, but still feeding off the crowd's energy and "taking her high"

I've never interpreted My Kind that way before but I actually like your perspective on it. Kinda crazy how living with songs for such a long time can take on new meanings as we live our own stories. 

I have to say this: what a great song that is Workin It Out. The definition of a teen bop. It has all the elements that makes a great pop song.
 

I know Methamorphosis was a successfull era but could have been x6 times bigger. The album had so much potential: songs like Anywhere But Here, Workin it Out, Little Voice, Sweet Sixteen, were all smashes ready to happen. 
 

This álbum could do 10M easily with the right strategy. The blueprint classic of teen pop of the 00s

 

The same with the Hilary Duff era. So many smashes that got lost because of that horrendous shitty label

Anywhere But Here has more streams than Reach Out, Play With Fire... it's her 15th most streamed song on the platform so she better perfrom it at least as a part of a medlay on tour. This song could be so much bigger if released back in the day. BTW we need Anywhere But Here (Live from WB) on Spotify. It was released on the Girl Can Rock CD in Japan (?)!
