Honestly Im not that worried. The account the posted the tie, Ive never seen before. We should actually wait for Winston and Talk of the charts to see the points. It’s going to be close but I’m sure we got it

So this is what happened, as annoying as it is:

 

all week chart predictors were overestimating its streaming numbers because of its AM smash (which no one can get a clear number on compared to Spotify). And all week they were set on that specific numbers to base their predictions on. Then, earlier today HITSDD released an actual representation of BMS' streaming numbers which were WAAAYY off from what they were predicting. When the predictors calculated this new number, it was scarily close to Lizzo's numbers, hence why its not a lock, because Lizzo's radio units and her streaming number is close to BMS - which will be the reason why it could block. Lizzo's radio alone can be what blocks BMS. 

 

They're saying BMS can still be #1 based on YouTube figures (which is likely not that much) and the website sales.

 

If I knew this wouldn't be a lock, I would've bought more versions  

How accurate are HDD's estimates anyway? I heard they don't include Youtube in their totals

Well, about the BMS Queens Remix. It’s hot!  I love the ballroom elements, but mostly I love her classy shade towards the haters in particular - Kelis!  I’m dead “Keep speaking my name” and essentially changed the whole meaning of the song towards haters. And dead at the lalalalas they sound more like KELIS on this record than they did on ENERGY!

She's getting the #1, calm down. But a video could've sealed the deal weeks ago. If she fumbles this then that's on her, I'm not buying extra copies of a song that's already a hit.

Not gonna lie, I don't normally have instances where I gag over moments like this, but I absolutely LOVE that she took such a comical approach to all of that previous mess. To me, it doesn't come off nearly as passive-aggressive or cringey as it probably should because it sounds like she's genuinely just having so much fun and it's all too carefree to seem vengeful.

 

I legit feel like I've been falling in love with her all over again since this era kicked off.

 

Well that plus the website sales, hopefully it’s enough to push it over the edge.
