I love it when y'all start lashing each other about Bey's promo/album rollout strategies. The cherry on top is bootlicker hive fighting back :suburban:

let's not act like that was out of pure philanthropy, she had to delay the tour announcement because it was physically impossible to sell dynamically priced tickets in a city that was currently burning down :deadbanana4:

as for the dynamic pricing i thankfully don't have to get ready for that since it's rightfully illegal in my country. the "she doesn't care about [insert anything that isn't money]" argument also isn't gonna work forever. not when she's currently on a mission to drive her remaining goodwill from fans and the public faster into the ground than Matthew goes through her purse :biblionana:

Her mother's house burned down in that fire 🤦🏽‍♂️

She hasn't cared about negative press surrounding her ticket prices for well over a decade now. Every tour its the same complaint about tickets being more and more expensive and then she still sells out show after show.

Y'all act as if she's some new act to the scene. She's been consistently on her A game for well over 20 years now and outlasted all of her peers. She technically could be charging a lot more than what she does if she really wanted to. A highly in demand 20+ year professional in ANY field is making top dollars in any field of work. Her knowing her personal worth isn't a turn off at all. It just sucks for people who can no longer afford the tickets that they really want.

her tours never got as many media headlines about not selling out as this one did. dynamic pricing's also never been talked about as much as today. thinking that an artist who exclusively cares about touring and the resulting money should care a little more about this kind of stuff isn't some crazy thought   :biblio:

sorry but the bootlicking… in this age of media scrutiny and terrible economy 1/2 of the richest couple in music simply shouldn't be making her tours as expensive and hard to attend as possibly. especially not when you literally can't see her perform anywhere else… not even in a music video  :michael:

And if you can afford a ticket you either need binoculars in the nose bleeds, 6 ft stilettos to see over the barricade because she wants us as far away from her as possible, or you can buy partial view seats with no tv screen cause she's too cheap offer that! Her tours should be a top tier experience. Instead it's giving white refrigerator wrapped with fake gold.

I think the biggest problem of these recent.. career choices, is that she's treating her core audience (who care the most) awfully. How? Well lets take a look:

Act i:

-Starts taking presales for 4 different "Pose" Boxes advertising alternate covers ---> on release they are the same album cover but with an iron-on alternate cover tshirt that starts washes off after one wash, can't forget the crumbs that appeared in many boxes

-Does multiple listening parties for the rich in LA, casual fans get two events where she just records a quick "thanks for coming" from her ipad (by the way if you google about these events, the only article talking about them has the headline "Why Beyoncé's Club Renaissance Party Looked So Boring" :emofish:)

-dedicates album to her gay uncle who passes, then goes into knee surgery, immediately performs for a hotel opening where her dear uncle johnny is BANNED from :emofish:

-posts a teaser trailer for visuals for renaissance :emofish:

-add dolby atmos 1 year after the albums release

-on tour we get an interlude saying "you'll get the visuals when you get them"

-Teasing sweet dreams and freakum dress

-the most expensive ticket package, the on-stage platforms, have the worst spot in the entire stadium.

-"you are the visuals"

-sells a $60 candle

-a tiktok dance saved the era from being over within a few months

-the only visual we receive outside from the teaser is an ad for tiffany's (where she sold a $500 horse that was the size of a monopoly piece)

-goes to brazil to promote the movie, the promotion consists of her arriving late, asking to do the mute challenge, then immediately leaving

-releases movie, denies adding it to streaming for no reason

-Christmas line launched that ships AFTER christmas

-Parkwood employee teases fans about how long theyre waiting for visuals on twitter

Act ii:

-started the era with a commercial (a perfect teaser of what's to come)

-SCAM VINYLS: advertised a bonus track, then removes that terminology on release date, NO bonus track (how she didn't get sued for a bait and switch is crazy)

-levi jeans ad

-charges the highest prices for beyhive presale which immediately fall at general release (ticket still sold a LOT slower than RWT)

-another levi jeans ad

-none of the vinyls even have the official cover of the album since she's selling OLD stock of when it was still Beyincé

-asks us to buy $100 whiskey

-another levi jeans ad

-CCT is just RWT 2.0 lifting entire sections of the previous tour to this one, but for double the price

-initially had next to NO hits, realizes ticket sales are slow, crams a bunch of hits in 2 minutes

-live instrument arrangements of her new instrument-focused production album? Nope just press play on the album version

-AGAIN the highest ticket price has the worst view, the poor view had to go viral for them to move the section to a closer spot, this section was constantly changing throughout the tour

-the most technical problems ever seen on a Beyoncé stage, production so sloppy she forces more rehearsals mid-tour

-no dolby atmos on this album

-no visuals, tour footage, or anything really

-Been Country possibly the biggest waste of time

-"art book" for an era with no visual art, constantly pushed back release date, finally ships out, a $74 book (don't forget free shipping on orders above $75!)  that doesnt even have a hard cover

Are these things individually enough to turn away fans? No, but a constant barrage of these antics will. Bootlickers saying "Just listen to someone else, she doesnt care", those streaming numbers are abysmal and clearly the gp ARE moving on. You can only cosplay as Sadé/Prince for so long before your fans move on (pretty sure these two focused on music and still promoted their albums, instead of asking us to buy shampoo and horse necklaces)

I didn't even put dining with the Trumps to secure a casiNO deal to be nice

anyways why does Sadé have an album from 1994 charting on the billboard top 200 albums and Beyoncé has 0

:suburban:

"Beyonce is doing just fine she can be huge without anything" but then when the daily spotify streams are posted everybody is confused… Since you want to live in a schizophrenic la la land let's just pretend that this 90s elusiveness isn't harming her numbers and that everybody loves her. You got a schizo-hive and then you have Sisyphus-hive who think them complaining about the same thing is going to magically make her decide to do the right thing career-wise, but nope it's business as usual. Just don't buy her tickets or physicals fight the system idk what to tell you. Everyone is annoying but also Beyonka can currently go to hell so I endorse the discourse nothing else is happening

spacer.png

She's a tacky hag but she's the only hag I got so it's whatever at this point. My main concern is that we're getting a CCT film but I need act 3 like right now we need to get this boat moving capitalist cowboy carter needs to leave her hat and put on a leather jacket do whatever you need to do idk chop chop

spacer.png

it's not necessarily that complainhive are wrong, its just that its not worth caring. it's beating a dead horse at this point (pun intended). beyoncé has been "frustrating" for well over a decade. if her commercial success is ever really in trouble, she shifts and does what she needs to do to sustain. i simply don't understand the whining at this stage in her career. she's had two successful eras in the last 3 years. she's never going to do what other pop stars do and give a perfectly planned slay queen mpg era again. if anything, she's only going to get more out of touch and self centered. you all just need to accept it

This year was pretty rough for music IMO, honestly, thank god for Hayley Williams and Rosalia, IDK what I would have done :lmao:

But do we have to limit ourselves to 2025? Let's discover artists from 1975! 1875! There's gospel, EDM, jazz, classical, all sorts of AMAZING music out there for us to discover. But the literal greatest performer of ALL TIME'S biggest fans are in here telling her SHE's not doing enough bc she doesn't have the same amount of streams as whoever tf? :biblio:

And no, it is not as fun to stan her as it was in the first 15 years of her career but almost another 15 years have passed!!! It's BEEN time to accept we are not getting pre-ST Beyoncé back. We're not getting Lemonade era Bey back either. She operates the way she does bc she's a wife, mother, daughter of aging parents, FILTHY RICH and is so accomplished she doesn't need to prove herself commercially anymore to sustain a career. She has literally done it all! And the constant expectation from some of these fans for her to change for THEM is lowkey giving Rihanna Navy :doc:

Anyway, rankings > cursing Beyoncé out in 2025 bc she hasn't released the FWT DVD. Ya know? :sistrens:

i found myself streaming more jazz + indie r&b this year.

spacer.png

when bey dont drop. i peep other r&b, rap, and pop albums from artists i fw. 2025 was dry for me, not many commercial releases i liked outside like 7 albums. so i slid back into my jazz and underground scene. plus it feels good to support black talent on the come up.

dont play dumb with me.

my comment was clearly quoting the post of yours that is beyond silly-saying that she should have promoted the tour more on socials, tik tok and not lack of dates on weekends. there is valid criticism like dynamic pricing and then there is a wining crap like oh no dates just on the weekends.

some of yall need to touch grass, live life and learn to read properly.

very few of you understand bey or the music business, it shows. on the dynamic pricing / i cant claim i know if she is to be blamed and if so to which extent.

The kii of you saying some of us need to "learn to read properly" whilst in the same comment saying "my comment was clearly quoting the post of yours". When it was actually to @Shelter. :rip:

Ok can we all be real right now...CCT was a turning point in terms of ticket sales momentum for Bey. She still successfully toured a bunch of stadiums which is no small feat, but they were absolutely not sold out and multiple dates were struggling to sell out in spite of reducing ticket prices at the last minute.

Yes, we can chat about the factors that contributed here (how recent the RWT was, how actually popular Act II was beyond Texas Hold Em, etc.) but if Parkwood learns anything from that tour it should be that they set prices far higher than demand.

There's actually no evidence dynamic pricing was used for CCT. Ticketmaster even denied it had been used. The suggestion that the CCT tickets had dynamic pricing algorithms applied to it were just cope from the hive who couldn't fathom Bey was overcharging them to such a high degree. The ticket prices were set by Parkwood at a higher rate than RWT (maybe to offset rising production costs vs the smaller tour length), not by an algorithm.
