Box score data is interesting. If my analysis is correct, some key takeaways (numbers adjusted for inflation).

RWT earned more per show in every city - up to $3.65M more per night at MetLife, even after inflation adjustment.

RWT drew bigger crowds per show in LA and NYC: LA: +4,919, NYC: +3,235, Chicago: nearly tied — CCWT +344.

Therefore stage design doesn't explain CCWT's lower attendance. The tight gap in Chicago suggests the real factor was fewer sections on sale.

These differences are even more notable as it shows that the initial high prices didn't translate into higher grosses. Dynamic pricing brought down the average price significantly. But stans were negatively impacted as they bought tickets early at higher prices.

Is that analysis correct? I did it quickly.

Lesser shows - higher attendance at those shows as demand is going to be higher. Floor could be filled more behind pits but would they see? Not sure. 14 million per night for 5 nights in the same city is insane

Oh for sure. I'm not saying it's bad. It's amazing. I'm just looking at the differences. I guess the only material thing is that the prices were initially a lot higher but dynamic pricing drove them down. I wonder if they'll change approach for act iii

Seems pretty accurate though I'd point out that less shows means more demand for individual dates, which is why RWT would have higher single show attendance and gross. If she removed a show from NYC and LA you'd have a higher av gross and attendance across the other shows. Add an extra date to each and you'd reduce each shows gross and attendance, though she'd sell more tickets overall and probably still be able to "sell out" another date.

Hopefully her takeaway from this is the same as yours and she ditches dynamic pricing. The only people who will suffer moving forward are the big fans who buy straight away. I think this debacle made enough noise within the hive that a large portion of fans sentiment will switch to waiting it out. Which will impact the initial hype of future releases and probably impact the scarcity which drives  demand. She will have to play it safe or the "empty seats" narrative will be even worse next time around.

I know we say this all the time but for the next tour the obvious route is tackling locations like Aus, Asia etc that she hasn't been to for over a decade. They will sellout instantly and by the time she gets back to her core markets social media and fomo will have sold those tickets.

I think she should've done one less show in LA and none in LV but one more in Paris, Washington and Houston each

Doubt it. We will see if I'm right, I expect Houston will have the best per night gross (and attendance) since it's only 2 nights. DC maybe too, like resale there is nearly 400 dollars.

What they need to do it better planning. LA having 5 dates but only 2 on the weekend. Same with NJ. London having 6 dates, only 2 being on weekends. If you expect people to travel to you, then make it mostly weekend shows. The rest of the tour is planned good.

Since it's act 3, I think next tour she will have more cities like REN and probably 3 shows only in the big cities, which will give bigger gross per night.

The fact ppl accused her of struggling to sell tickets just to deal with numbers like these. These the same ppl that says she pays media outlets to be held to higher standard whilst hanging onto the words of Pop Crave and the likes as absolute truth back in April.

It honestly makes me better understand the thought process behind the witch hunts that went on all those years ago. Thousands of women burned at the stake for having some influence. Her being a black woman makes her all the more intimidating.

As a collector, this picture makes me upset that the CD packaging isn't cohesive like the vinyls:gaycat7:

Going from a digipak to jewel case was not a good idea and then the CC booklet only being available on vinyl…

I think all 3 acts will get a cd box set when they're all out

If the daughter's story is to be believed i'm not sure why a mother would do this but there could definitely be another side to it. not to bring negativity in the base but desiree is a longtime close friend and partner of jay so it is something to look out for

I just checked and you are right the LA and London date schedule dates were dumb which in turn affected the sales.

I understand she might not want to do three shows back to back, but they could have target two show between Friday to Sunday.
