like all of her tours had mess, kinks and lack of energy on opening night (yes, even FWT). she'll work them out and get back into her dancing bag, not FWT style dancing obviously but at least Beybowl/RWT level. also, she used to perform everywhere from 2000-2016, multiple times a month or even a week, which helped keeping her in said bag dancing wise. not performing for months/years like she does now in the 2020s intensifies her being less Beyoncé at first tour dates. she knows she has 28 other concerts to work stuff out and get back into her groove, and she'll do just that, as usual.

The Daughter interlude (with the banged wig and blood gloves and dirty bathroom) is not online yet.

:shakeno:

So intrigued about the visuals...all over again lol.

It's crystal clear that the interludes on this tour are from the visuals. They aren't even hiding it at this point.

The only thing is, about 4-5 times during the show, we received what essentially were 2-minute previews apiece of the CC film. Probably 8-10 mins in total.

That might not read as much to most, but if looking at this through the lens of your conventional "film trailer", that's a lot of footage to show upfront. Especially as it seems to be high-intensity moments from the film (e.g. giant Bey, bottle cracking in bar).

I say that to say, it makes me wonder if we are still getting the film. because both this and the large sums of visual we got from the RWT feel kinda preemptive of what would be a total gag if seeing in a first-time watch of the film. And I say that as someone who has been extremely vocal that visuals are still coming (largely because of semi-direct tea I received about reshoots etc).

My gut tells me we will most likely get a combined "something", as the scale of what we're seeing feels too grand to be limited to tour interludes. But, with it being anyone's guess what is happening with the visuals behind the scenes, there's also the possibility that "some use" of what she has in the can is better than none at all.

We'll see.

Spoiler

On deeper reflection, I'm remembering that, for all we''ve seen so far, she's largely kept anything choreographed/performance-y under wraps.

With the elusive visuals essentially being her today's way of dropping music videos, perhaps it is all still coming and this is just breadcrumbs of the narrative connectors.

Her tour is getting universal acclaim as usual.

If that was part of the visuals why were there  no celebs in it? I thought it was supposed to be star studded unless that was just a rumor.

I'm so mad I looked away while the This is Theater interlude was playing.

Same :sabrina: I'm so gagged by the interludes. I need them, now.

like haven't even seen 10% of them and what i've seen looks mind blowing :clap3:

I've watched half of the concert on YT and so far I'm only on the fence on her re-doing the ITG/Cozy/AS segment. I don't get the point. Everything else is a slay.

Here for it!

Manifesting more, as the media seems intent of givng her the "great show, but thousands of available tickets" edit, which is so unnecessary and something they next to never do with any other artist.

So, here's hoping that between reviews like this, virallity, and good ole word of mouth, the media spin around the show can be different once it gets into full swing.

I can already tell the discourse around this tour is going to be exhausting lol :jonny2: therefore won't be saying anything til after I see it live

that said the show is so weirdly paced fff

When do we suppose she filmed all of this?  I can't imagine it was all pre renaissance - I would think she has been filming throughout the past several years, and I'm not sure why she'd do that if she wasn't still planning a release

The fact that you compard madonna to beyonce shows the problem. They are two different women with different physical needs. Madonna can't sing to save her self from the titanic.

She does not use any energy with her vocals she focuses on yoga moves. Without her yoga moves she can't out on a show..

BEYONCE is a singer first..a VOCALIST first and she delivered some of the best vocals of her career yesterday.

Again, this is the first show and it was indeed spectacular.

It will only get better from here on.

I just find it annoying that some of you expect her to be doing sh*t and moving like she is 23.

She is being smart with her choices and that is why art 44 she can still put on the type of show she can.

Wait a minute. Yoga moves? Madonna is a trained classical dancer, sis, put some respect on the elders! Anyway, the fact that she doesn't focuses on vocals make it easier for her to do a more athletic performance but she has to take care of her body for it to happen, it's not as easy as you think. Or just compare B to Tina Turner, who at her early 50s still got moves (but was less flexible).

Anything with a platinum blonde wig is post Renaissance tho. There's one scene with the platinum blonde braids that's probably from August 2024.

Why is Madonna being mentioned in here? Can we not please?

Total conjecture on my part, but I don't buy that she filmed much - if anything - too long before Rennie came out.

Keeping it 100 and not being PC for a sec, she has her fuller pre-Rennie-tour body in the ITG teaser and a lot of the visual snippets we saw in interludes for the RWT (i.e. BMS shoot and moving clips of a lot of the scenes in the album shoot/tour book). That's all giving 2022 pre-album release and some after.

The visuals we saw for CC show her looking the same kind of svelte she's been giving *post* RWT 2023-now.

So, my gut tells me that while the album release order was switched around, the visuals were filmed in order.

As far as multitasking, I feel like we're gonna be blown away when we hear/learn that she probably was filming CC in gaps from the RWT or in the immediate frame after.

Edit: Potentially dismantling my own argument is that comment Es Devlin gave about Bey having multiple films in the can during the pandemic. Between the tea about the streamers not biting initially, reshoots, and album switcheroo, maybe there's a little bit of truth to everything. I.e. things were "generally" shot way ahead of time, but now fused with new footage, material, new overall concept (e.g. combined film rather than separate).

We'll see...or not lol

Most of the interludes are not from the film... At least not the film that was filmed in 2021-23

The art book clearly shows that the platinum looks are a late-2023 and onwards look (except for the Dolly ones). You can tell what's from the original shoot based on Marni and Andrew's posts of what they styled/directed.

90% of these interludes were clearly all filmed last year (Sir Davis product placement, platinum hair, post RWT figure). What I can't say for certain is whether they're tour-specific only (a la OTR II) or if they served as part of "reshoots" for the CC film, which she's just choosing to show on tour like with Renaissance. The blending of the giant Bey interlude (new footage) with the Texas Hold Em' trailer (old footage) from last year is what makes me wonder.

Regardless, what's clear is that she is in a new visual peak, and whatever ultimately materializes from all this will be her most ambitious showing to date.

Shortening II MOST WANTED when it's the only post-release single was a terrible curious choice.

Fingers crossed Miley joins her a few times for a fuller rendition

I think there is some truth to the story of her shopping her visuals, but that doesn't mean she was showing them a finished product, she may have been looking for a distributor prior to completed work, and I can't imagine that is unusual, especially if you're looking for additional funding.
