Beyoncé

Is Madonna dead? I saw her quite fit at the Sticky & Sweaty Tour when she was in her early 50s, so 10 years older than Bey.

You really dont have to get so sensitive at any form of critique @Kingdom. Bey isn't flawfree and shes built up a reputation herself that only she can fulfill. There's plenty that worked this opening night (I adores Thique, Flamenco, Honey for instance), but there are things she can and should improve.

I know I will never get a FWT-Bey back, and thats ok. But she can do more than what she showed. And I stand by it. Suck it up :-*

Age happens to us all, unfortunately. Bey sustained an injury and it seems like it will affect her for the rest of her performing career. Madonna also sustained an injury and had to go through hip replacement after cancelling almost half of the Madame X tour and being in excruciating pain. Britney had an injury in her early 20s and she was never the same. Prince was in so much pain from dancing in heels he had to have a hip replacement, he got addicted to painkillers and literally died from them.

Being a performer is tough, especially if you're not like, Taylor Swift. I will not blame Bey for wanting to take care of herself and not be in pain for the rest of her life.

yeah i wouldn't stress about the choreo. i remember being disappointed by the lack of dancing on renny's opening night and looking back she executed the dances much better and harder by the second half of the tour, to the point i asked myself why we even panicked about the dancing in the first place :rip:that'll happen 100% again this time

This. Don't forget how shocked all of us were at opening night OTR2:rip:

Some of you want beyonce to kill herself for you to fulfil your gay fantasies from the comfort of tik tok and instagram live..

The fact that you compard madonna to beyonce shows the problem. They are two different women with different physical needs. Madonna can't sing to save her self from the titanic.

She does not use any energy with her vocals she focuses on yoga moves. Without her yoga moves she can't out on a show..

BEYONCE is a singer first..a VOCALIST first and she delivered some of the best vocals of her career yesterday.

Again, this is the first show and it was indeed spectacular.

It will only get better from here on.

I just find it annoying that some of you expect her to be doing sh*t and moving like she is 23.

She is being smart with her choices and that is why art 44 she can still put on the type of show she can.

Beyoncé's way more focused on other stuff though. That's why I mentioned time concerns. Whereas she had the time to have 15-hour dance rehearsal days for multiple months, she now devotes more time than ever to, for example, filmmaking. I think it's just their different interests, I'm sure Beyoncé could be "FWT-Bey" (whatever that means) again if she wanted too, but I think she 1) doesn't want to sacrifice the time she spends on other stuff 2) doesn't see the benefit anymore in it.

Am I the only one super afraid she's gonna cut Daughter for some shows? It gets special treatment with its own interlude etc. but that also makes it easier for her to just take 1 song and interlude out and save almost 10 minutes.

I dont expect her to do what she did during FWT, I absolutely am aware of what her body has been through and that she wants to preserve herself.

What I personally want to see is when she does choreo, to do it full-heartidly and not like a rehearsals. Take Spaghetti for instance. Shes doing the challenging rap flawlessly, however shes just standing there. There's no possess, and I know she can do more than that. She can sell it a bit harder.

Then u have the dance break after. After than dance break, she has a break/quick change. Its that moment, where I do expect Bey to turn it choreo wise for these 30 seconds.

Im not expecting a Run The World live at Billboard Music awards anymore, but to nail choreo for 30 seconds? Yes, I expect the in my.opinion most gifted live performer of our generation to do that.

Ps: I'm measuring her mostly to herself and what I know shes capable of delivering.

Nah, Bey loves to flaunt her operatic vocals. Shes been doing it every tour for the past 10+ years. We are good here lol

The show looks AMAZING!!! I'm so happy she's doing basically all of CC and not all of her hits. The Renny section was cute too! But I feel like some Renny songs could be cut tbh. Only saw a few clips here and there but the production looks insane and so much more expensive than RWT tbh. Can't wait to go in Atlanta, might buy a ticket for a second show too.

I hope not but I can see her getting annoyed by the dress.

if anything she can cut the 3rd act of Alligator Tears/Just For Fun/Protector/Flamenco…. Hell the one before can be shortened and just do AHAP/Formation and skip My House/Diva

I hate that she's now just doing 50% choreo like an auntie and never commits 100% to her choreos when shes purely dancing. I just LOATHE that because it always looks lazy. I get its properly in order to preserve and remain painless, still annoys me as a fan

She insists on having this huge ass setlist but gets tired mid way and cant even dance. That chair choreo for Levi's Jeans was.... something...

The tour looks great but i honestly not too mad now that i didn't manage to get the tickets for it. I'll wait for the Betty Black Tour.

She really doesn't need to perform Blackbird every night, doesn't she?

What, you would cut those? The Protector and Flamenco moments were beautiful. I would cut Blackbird and Before I Let You Go. Also Crazy In Love can go to be honest

Yes in a sense If she's cutting a whole section like she did for Drunk In Love/Thique/AUIYM for Renny to save time.

Now individual songs… another story.  Diva, My House, BILG, ITG and just do the intro of it.

I don't mind Blackbird. It's so short and pretty.

The way this hoe didn't even throw in 6 Inch during one of the intros, it was perfect for the "Jolene's" video.

Also #JusticeForAllNight, it could have been sneaked in one of the slower sections and just walk and sing for a bit. After Daughter, take the light up dress off and just walk around to the crowd.

like all of her tours had mess, kinks and lack of energy on opening night (yes, even FWT). she'll work them out and get back into her dancing bag, not FWT style dancing obviously but at least Beybowl/RWT level. also, she used to perform everywhere from 2000-2016, multiple times a month or even a week, which helped keeping her in said bag dancing wise. not performing for months/years like she does now in the 2020s intensifies her being less Beyoncé at first tour dates. she knows she has 28 other concerts to work stuff out and get back into her groove, and she'll do just that, as usual.

Not with that LED dress

and, i take this back if we end up never getting these damn visuals, i can live with her scaling back on the dancing if it means we get visuals of this caliber :bloo:

cause what she just showcased yesterday was not only a movie that will undoubtedly end up being her biggest visual feast, she literally took a big fat **** on lemonade, used BIK to wipe her ass and then laughed at selftitled crying in the corner

Those interludes are undoubtedly from the visuals, they SCREAM Nadia Lee Cohen, especially that giant Bey stomping around, throwing that plane.  They're camp, but the best kind.  I can't imagine sitting on that.

Same :sabrina: I'm so gagged by the interludes. I need them, now.

I've watched some videos and can't wait for my DC date. The production looks phenomenal….. Rumi was also soo cute. Anyone got a good recording of Daughter as I heard it's the stand out from last night show!!

Miss Blue was working that stage wooo
