I get why she released II Most Wanted, it was the best performing track on the album on release, but I think the trajectory could've been so different had they gone with Bodyguard, or even Levii

honestly even IIMW would've done better had it actually been pushed that week/the following one. it was weeks before we got the half-assed visualizer and iirc same with the pathetic lil radio push. by the time parkwood staff stopped vacationing and tried to actually do their jobs, the hype was gone and people had moved on. if you have something shaping up to be a hit when the album drops, don't wait for it to plummet off the charts before you lift a finger

IIMW is by far the worst song on this album but it could've been successful if she did a Tiny Desk and brought Miley out to perform it with her

 

CC was actually the perfect era for Tiny Desk but instead she got us in this base anticipating career moves based on what color she's wearing 

 

Imagine sabotaging what might be the best three album run in history…she's so lucky she's as talented as she is bc more and more each day I'm tempted to be one of these internet trolls who hate on her every move…

Nothing would've been successful without some kind of push, Nothing. Cuff It took off because of Tiktik, nothing took off from CC. Releasing a song to radio will do nothing, it needs a video and promo to kickstart things. Most countries didn't even get a 2nd single from CC.
