This is gonna be my first rant on here OMFG but :deadbanana2::

Beyonce and her team are so out of touch. I'm sorry but especially with the messages and themes of Rennie and Cowboy, speaking up for minority groups and reclaiming space. This stuff NEEDS to be everywhere. For such an important message for her, they don't treat it as such when it comes to promo, and effort when it comes to everything else. If you're going to strip Visuals for 3 albums straight (literally something that makes up HALF of the album) then at least put forth a little more effort in promo or exposure.

As much as I want to trust her vision, part of me also would like a music video or SOMETHING to tide over this nearly 4 year wait. It just kinda doesn't make sense.

Its the fact u typed this and posted it 15 min after ur first post. Oh i could feel the heat emerging. It probably happened while typing the first paragraph. So relatable

Bey and her team really know how to butcher an era like wooowwwww. I really thought things couldn't get as bad as the way Ren was handled but they've really outdone themselves:clap3:

shaboozey's bar song shaping up to be a bigger hit than anything on CC :toofunny2:  (Im still happy for him tho!)

LITERALLY. I am honestly so done with playing it cool. :deadbanana2:

For Rennie I understood where she was coming from but it almost feels as if she's doing a disservice to not only the album but the entire era and message itself with CC.

It's like you see someone with soooo much money and nearly unlimited resources and completely NOT utilize that to their advantage, knowing as fans if you were in her position you would do anything to maximize the potential of each album. She's done it before with eras like Lem and such. I really wonder why she just can't… do it again.

I mean, we really are sometimes too soft on her.

This is the same woman that was SHAMELESS enough to sign thousands of posters, put these signed posters in front of the Beyince Vinyls, and pretend like its the digital album.

They are SO messy on SO many fronts, it really is crazy.

Somebody of Beys stature should NEVER have such bad management

yeah getting outdone by a khia artist YOU featured and who is already out streaming every single song on your new album is just so embarrassing omfg :rip:

I think I really just feel bad for these albums, these phenomenal bodies of work. as great as they are and have been for years. It deserves more than what is done for them. At least they scan platinum so it seems like a win.

It's an art. Traditional rollout my ass. I want a refund.

I still can't believe that they've send out CDs without all the tracks and refuse to to send out new copies.

Y'all what exactly does "khia" artist mean? Bc everytime I read it, it translates to irrelevant black artist and I hate that verbiage…

…especially in this base

Hive looking for hints everywhere is starting to give actual mental illness. Is the rationale Bey or Parkwood went to a random Barnes and Noble to drop a hint?

still think the wildest thing to happen this era wasn't the botched physicals, but people deepthroating parkwood's boots to defend it

Girl no :deadbanana4:

"khia" is a Stan Twitter phrase referencing the artist named Khia. It comes from this meme:

Maybe you're only seeing it used for black artists because you mainly follow them but I can ensure the phrase is used for artists of any race. It isn't racial at all. :heart2:

Okay I've definitely seen this term used by Swifties in reference to the black artists included on CC and it always rubbed me the wrong way but I guess I can see this too

Yeah now that we're into a new album cycle I look back on Renaissance and it just feels so hollow and empty to be honest. Like it wasn't an actual 'era' of her career that we will reminisce 15 years down the line.

You think back on previous eras before the 2020s and they all have such a strong visual identity, there's all these moments, performances, videos & looks that come to my mind and for Renaissance it's just  I guess the Dubai fiasco happened.

I know that the tour happened eventually and one can say that's what comes to mind but I feel like we subconsciously just use it as a substitute for everything else that we didn't get.

Columbia/Parkwood have been dropping the ball with singles etc for a long time (not that Beyoncé cares)…….but I think people are forgetting just how polarising Beyoncé is.

Everybody knows Beyoncé has a new album out - but after years of pushing the envelope artistically she's alienated a lot of casual (basic) fans who miss the old B of Halo days gone. She's too experimental for the pop radio crowd but too big a name for a lot of indie/alt listeners to drop their prejudices.

Then half of the the audiences she's shown love to over the past decade hate her because they're braindead and convinced she's a evil/illuminati or whatever; or just waiting for her downfall because she hasn't had a public breakdown like the ones the industry/media have induced on so many black entertainers (which in turn makes them hate Beyoncé even more because of her goddess/perfect image in the eyes of the media).

At the end of the day Beyoncé is playing catch up on streaming…..but even those numbers are largely just due to playlisting or going viral. You only have to go on insta/fb etc to see how much venom people have towards Beyoncé; I've never seen people crave the downfall of a star like it is for B tbh. No amount of playlisting is going to make those philistines play her music.

y'all wanted to see how Ren would go if church girl was the second single ? well this is basically that… but worse… and somehow even less organized

Right!? Thank god Columbia stepped in and put a halt to this deluded auntie and her single choices and gave CI its proper push.

Im glad we're getting a second single but… why on earth do you want to push a lesbian ballad when summer is right around the corner and Leviis Jeans and Bodyguard are right there and can stand in their own.

Save the Miley collab for the fall and to give the album more longevity, plan a video for it or a live performance with both of them.

Columbia can do wonders but this stubborn giraffe won't budge.

Renaissance era would be nothing without the tour. All the iconic moments and visual imagery happened during it. CC is 90% not having its own tour (my bet is it and ACT III will share one next year) so not having that is crazy.

Honestly, idc what masterplan she has with them but withholding the visuals will be looked back on as the biggest mistake of her career. Worse than Lemonade not being put on streaming. You cannot do absolutely nothing for your album + withhold visuals (the thing you're most known for) and still expect for your album to make a mark.

so Columbia also posted about it… I hope that they will push it now on Radio

the song needs some radio payola and  spotify auto-play
