CC is obviously an ambitious and impressive work, but I feel like Rennie is tighter and neater with fewer weaknesses (not that either is FLAWED if that makes sense)

CC is definitely better than RENAISSANCE imo.

 

The lead single alone, Texas > BMS. 

American was a better opener than ITG and Church Girl was horrible. Never was a fan of Cozy and Cuff It and Bucking>Pure. Overall CC had stronger tracks than REN, please don't attack me.

The two albums have different qualities although I think production is immaculate on both.

Renaissance is a smoother listening experience, transitions are peak and it has got bangers all the way through.

Cowboy Carter is vocally and lyrically superior and its highs are way higher. Some of her best songs ever are on this.

 

I prefer Cowboy carter but I totally understand those who prefer Rennie

 

 

 

Ok I get that you think CC is better, but I just can't imagine slandering the masterpiece that is Renaissance, this disrespect will not be tolerated

i think both offer something different. both are one of the best projects of recent time and i haven't been this obsessed with an album since 2016.

however, if i were to pick between both, for me it would be ren. i always find myself going back to it

i give it about a month or two until a lot of hive start switching and saying they don't like half the album and wished it was more like the 7 last tracks 

Lemonade is still better than both so this back and forth useless

I do appreciate the albums are two totally different moods. 

 

Cowboy Carter is for a summer day day on the water and Renaissance is for when you go out later that night  I'm gonna make a mega playlist of Cowboy transitioning into Renaissance.

For now CC ranks #3 for me. Below Ren and Lem for now as I said 2/3 days ago. 

But that takes nothing away from CC. I think the album might age the best out of her recent catalog.
