Because producers in the 2000s were like fine dining chefs. They were in the kitchen cooking with FRESH ingredients trying to create something INNOVATIVE AND NEW. Asking them to go back in the past is like asking a chef to go in the back of the freezer and reheat some old nachos in the microwave. Of course it wont taste as good.

Spent time this weekend arguing with long-time Tinashe stans on why Popstar was clearly her best album and they were NOT having it. Interesting to see the disconnect but I knew on first listen it was one of the best albums of the year. Sunglasses blew me away right out of the gate

We should all purchase Tinashe's album as a form of resistance to Taylor's reign. We will not be silenced

I mean she's an entertainer. Most of her day is in rehearsals and vocal lessons not keeping up with global affairs. She's just doing what she believes is the best thing to do with the information she has presented before her (usually from Tik Tok )

Knowing how much she's exploited by everyone around here, I will not be supporting this… or anything related unless she's deeply involved, which doesn't seem to be the case here
