  1. 9 minutes until I can stream it. I wasnt expecting to be this excited
  2. GGGB was Rih's 3rd album and this is her second album
  3. If Matthew Knowles was still running the show, Beyoncé would be working nonstop. She'd be promoting singles 24/7, doing interviews, making TikToks, and chasing every chart. She'd probably have like 25 No. 1 hits and 10 billion Spotify streams every era. But she'd also probably be on Instagram dancing with knives in her kitchen by now like Britney Spears. I honestly think Beyoncé made a conscious choice to protect her peace instead of chasing numbers nobody's gonna care about in a few years. She'd rather work at her own pace and make the art she wants than burn herself out trying to figure out how to hack the algorithm in 2026. And the reason I say nobody's gonna care about these numbers in a few years is because the industry is constantly changing. Beyoncé already had insane success in the 2000s, but now people act like none of those physical sales matter because streaming took over. So now we're supposed to believe that billions of passive streams, driven by playlists and algorithms, are somehow more meaningful than a million people actually getting in their cars, driving to Target on release day, and buying your album? Yeah, right. If the metrics keep changing every few years, why spend your whole life chasing them? I'd opt out too.
  4. The worst thing the music industry ever did was create streaming-equivalent album units. There is no universe where streaming an album or song 1,500 times is the same achievement as someone physically buying an album. Sales and streams should be tracked separately. These newer artists are absolutely breaking streaming records, and that deserves recognition, but what artists like Whitney and Mariah accomplished in the '90s required people to literally leave their homes and spend $12 or more on an album. That can't really be replicated in the streaming era. I'm happy for Ella Langley and the records she's breaking, just like I was for Shaboozey and Lil Nas X. They're just completely different achievements from completely different generations. Both can be impressive without pretending they're directly comparable.
  5. Now do the tour numbers which actually reflects demand
  6. Thats tragic but Im still trying to understand how the heat resulted in 40 drownings. Is it so hot that its driving people that cant swim into the ocean/pool?
  7. Well he has 3 trending threads on ATRL right now. I cant think of any other critic that can do that
  8. I saw the name and this is all I can think about
  9. Im sorry but living in any high rise building in Isr*al sounds horrifying

Exactly the way she wants it btw.
  11. I was watching the pandemonium around the Japan premiere of Michael, and although I know the hype is entirely due to Michael Jackson a big part of the film's success is Jaafar's performance. He's becoming a global celebrity through this experience and I'm wondering what's next for him when all this is over. Does he have what it takes to take over the Main Pop Boy scene, keep in mind he can REALLY sing and wanted to have a career in music before he was approached to play MJ.

I really dont see her letting 44th year pass without doing something meaningful. You know how she is about that number.

A little bit of revisionist history happening here. Rihanna's entire career has been one long witch hunt. The GP didn't really starting LIVING for her until after Anti. 2005-2008 The Navy was constantly fighting the "can't sing" "Beyonce clone" "Sleeping with Jay-Z allegations 2009-2013: The Chris Brown saga (enough said) It wasn't until she really starting taking breaks and people had the chance to miss her and feel nostalgic about her hits that she really became "adored" As a Day 1 Navy it has always been mostly an uphill battle and the main thing I've learned is that she will always get through it and the storm will pass. This is who she is at her core, she will always come out on top.
