I leave for a few and this thread turns into “Hive of Love”. 

I was listening to Destiny’s Child - Now That She’s Gone last night and my bf made a comment on how he doesn’t like Bey’s voice  when she was younger. I thought it was really interesting (and fair, he got into her with 4 and her voice matured incredibly) but I thought it was an interesting take since a lot of people on here claim they miss her old baby vocals and don’t like her deeper voice. 
 

I like both for what they are. Homecoming  versions of songs ate up the originals but I have a soft spot for random bonus tracks/demos from her debut like What’s It Gonna Be. Her voice is soooo sweet

It's better to NOT release the video right away in order to maintain the momentum of the song and hence the longevity. If she were to release everything at once, it's gonna be ST/Lemonade all over again. This era is about traditional promo, everything will be like how she used to do before pre-ST. Don't you guys wait weeks for RTW video? BTINH?

I much, much prefer her voice now but don't hate her younger voice. It could get a little... shrill for me, though.

This era feels so weird already. Not bad, but weird. Some people insisted she was coming Fall '22 or, worse, Spring '23  and I think I internalized it a little so its all surreal.

 

Couple that with this being her first major release in ten years without a visual and her actually kinda slaying on the charts... I feel like I'm in an alternate dimension.
