Mmm. Beyoncé stirring up conversation in the media has been the standard since ST tbh, just less political/controversial this time around, comeback or not. Im just keeping in mind that we’re experiencing part one of a series of events. There’s an early, high and late stage of the “Renaissance” (assuming the rollout is loosely based on the historical pattern of the Italian Renaissance) We’re not experiencing the height of it just yet. The High Renaissance, which is the follow up I’m referring to, represents the culmination of goals set from the Early Renaissance (Meaning she has a lot more where BMS came from)

Honey I think ur taking it a bit far with ur Interpretation of the title and its correlation to the rollout :gaycat6:

Im still convinced BMS is a warm up type of single. Assuming she’s rolling with the basics of “house/dance music” and how it’s a steady build up. She’s new to it and most likely won’t toss out the best she has as a lead. She/her team could be testing the waters and being very strategic in their approach. I’ve come to this conclusion based on the fact that she put emphasis on the “track 6” as in, “how do you like this common mixtrack, yall” just to see what the general perception would be (and whether or not she would continue pushing that sound knowing there’s a plethora of genres showcased throughout the album she can push out next) I’m just convinced there’s something bigger and better that’ll follow it up tbh.

This is nonsense since the album release date has already been annouced

I mean if y’all are dead set on the lead single being the peak of what’s to come then that’s fine. I still expect a bigger follow up.

Y'all really let these narrow minded stans get in your heads in here. We have no idea what's coming or how far she is going this era. If she is really planning to release two albums, this is just a snack. She is probably hiding her cards knowing a true monster hit is being released later on. She is not showing her hands now. Y'all really think this is the best Bey has to offer? lol I want another Drunk in love kinda track but with a house beat and she would send those little clowns in a nuthouse at this point.

TUESDAY

Yes, because releases used to be Tuesdays, then Bey changed them to Fridays and now she's releasing on a Tuesday again.

BMS is the single. I doubt another song is coming until the album now. It’s sent to radio and all.

Beyoncé’s father’s Twitter thread has me crying ngl :jonny2:

Break My Soul should definitely increase in streams and sales over the weekend. This is the last weekend of Pride Month. Many clubs will have a Pride Month party finale. There are also several Pride events including the NYC Pride March.

What stans?

What best? It's her lead single and it's a great track. Whether it's the best track she has to offer or not is subjective, this is still the song she chose to lead her era and album that comes out in 5 weeks.

I don't see why people want the song to be relagated to a buzz single. That would just be pitiful, she has also never done that in her career and shouldn't start now.

I hope we get a music video trailer today and the video tomorrow. It’s also interesting that her store was down a couple hours ago for a while.

We need the video tomorrow, does anyone drop a single without the video these days?

Guys, Bey didnt have a proper lead single debut on streaming in like forever. Add to that her Lemonade-era behavior as well as the way EIl and TG were "distributed" and you'll see how good the reception of BMS during a DRAKE release has been. Like, over 5mio streams worldwide is great for her, rly.

That being said: keep them tiktok trends coming

I think it’s interesting to point out how active, but also at the same time silent Bey has been throughout this entire era. I know we got that Vogue interview but for the most part she is once again, allowing the music to speak for itself. But it’s crazy how she’s doing a traditional rollout and actually promoting it but also managing to stay remotely silent about it! What kind of person communicates a single through an IG bio?

And also, let’s not act foolish, BMS IS the single and it’s a very good one at that let’s give it room to breathe:rip: it’s fun, new, and provides a good taste test for what’s to come for the album. As far as I’m concerned I don’t want anymore singles at this time, let BMS flourish and give it a music video and performance. I can see a buzz single dropping weeks before the album, or one album track used for the upcoming Ivy park drop but other than that, BMS should be the main thing pushed to garner interest for the album, let tik tok do its thing.

Dont let these bitter betties fool u: BMS is absolutely great as a lead - yall dont want to know how many times I had to hear that Beys music is not accessible to my friends or that they feel shes arrogant or that her music has become so heavy that they dont listen to her at all. BMS is a reintroduction to the Bey many fell in love with: Fun, energetic and motivational.

If TikTok really picks up and shes serving a MV, this will have great legs and I'd even go as far as saying this could come for Drinks level of success, which would be insane seeing how thats almost a decade ago.

How much of those Pose boxes do you guys think were made?

They’re collectibles, so I’m going to be conservative and say probably 2k-4k per Pose.

!!!!

If she wants to buzz, she should release another one week before the album but BMS needs to be front and centered the lead.

I really do have to say tho: The way she incorporated an almost „live instrumentalization“ right before the last chorus hits.. Phew, genius to say the least. It really comes at a moment where one is on the verge of thinking that it gets a bit repetitive.

This is exactly how I felt when I was listening & was like “damn the production hasn’t really gone anywhere” :clap3:

I mean it’s obviously the lead single, what seems to not be clicking here is that It’s not at all uncommon for artist/label to save what they think is as the second or third single (to maintain momentum). We Belong Together was the second single off The Emancipation and it’s considered the greatest comeback of all time. Not that it’s a much of a relatable situation, but it’s just one clear example where the “comeback” wasn’t the result of a lead single.

I just genuinely feel like she’s testing the waters with a safe track that isn’t too explicit, controversial or dynamic as a means to warm up to the GP again. All that’s being said is that we’re anticipating the follow up single be the edgier, more groundbreaking single that will likely be the one to stir REAL conversation. It’s really not an out of reach concept when you consider the elaborate campaign that’s attached to this album.
