Some people are truly delusional. ONE DAY and she released the trailer kinda late and it still made faily high numbers. I dont expect everyone to rush buying tickets to the movies when they know they can always just show and get tickets. It's very different than a concert, there wont be a limit to tickets here. Stop comparing Beyoncé to nonsense and go stan your pop girls away from her base. Good lord!

Releasing the trailer midday on a Sunday, before her final show would have been an even dumber marketing decision.

 

Ending the concert and not giving anything until Monday morning would have caused you to have an even worse meltdown.

 

She's not ever going to win with some of y'all. Keep it moving.

She did not have to release on Sunday lol.. the point was to let the hype build and release early in the day for max exposure on Monday.

Here. Do you think when Disney saw those Pre-sales tickets, they were depressed and thought the projects  would fail? 2 movies ended up making Billions by the way. Not saying Beyoncé will make so much but from now to December, a lot can happen. Another trailer will be released. People will start missing Beyoncé and the tour in a month, last minute there can be another movement of people wanting to dress in silver again showing up to the theaters. 

 

Beyhive, stop arguing with fools. They are not thinking clearly, it's all about winning points on a  discussion forum.

The trailer was the biggest let down.  It gave here’s what’s coming up on next weeks episode of the Parkwood chronicles.

Is there really such a big difference between waking up to news of the film and being awake when news of the film drops? Either way people are going to talk about it. One might even say during the day people are more distracted than when they wake up and check their phone for the first time.

 

There's no way that her releasing it in the middle of the day would have garnered a significant enough amount more of first day sales for it to make that much of a difference, especially when closing the tour with the trailer just makes sense.

Insanity. Movies thrive on overhype and mass interest. Barbie and Oppenheimer, though they probably didn't need all that much, still got all of the extensive and over the top promo to get to where they were in numbers and pop culture. It's a concert film, but it's a concert film of one of the most popular tours of all time. At least include sneak peeks of the visuals in the trailer even if they're not all in there.

To me, yes it’s all about the right timing. That’s key to success. I don’t work in marketing but a lot of what I do with my work coincides with that side of the business and PR. 
 

By releasing at 2am EST and late PST they spilt up the hype and excitement overnight. Some people who are diehards will buy a ticket right away, others will wait until the morning and by then possibly change their minds. Prime timing to get both causal and die hards was all at once with an announcement during the day and that excitement will build throughout on its own. It literally dwindled  down by the time the morning came around. And then add a not so exciting trailer to mix, mess. 
 

The ig post should have immediately been followed up with twitter and TikTok with a personal note to fans. There’s no reason why your PR manager should be sleeping when you have a movie coming out in two months. 
 

 

Anyways, it’s all a moot point now. She’s not going to change anything and hopefully she gets top 2 at the Box office. And at least does better than Katy Perry’s numbers. 
 

A music video would be good promo, cough Alien Superstar cough… tease everyone with something.

The ASMR in the trailer reminds me of the time she sent that voice note in bed rambling to the club renaissance in LA, and everyone was just standing there like 🧍🏻for 7 minutes. She would have knocked me out if I was there. I was definitely whelmed with the trailer.

You get it! She also said in the trailer and on tour it’s about being free, yet the promo did not sell that to the audience imo. 
 

I will never understand their minimalist approach to everything. It’s a little pretentious.
