I also wonder what the docu/tour film means for the other acts. Say she manages to top REN with the next “act.” Will we be getting another tour film/doc? Maybe Rebirth is actually ACT II. 

 

Much as I would love individual tours for each act, I think it would be way more interesting for her to use the upcoming albums to explore other "live" mediums. Like residencies, another Homecoming concept etc.

 

It also feels more time efficient too. Early Bey would go on 100+ date tours. The reality is that she has earned the status and reverence that artists embark on such big tours for already. She's basically a legend. And it's clear family is her priority these days. 

 

Assuming Act 2 is more chilled, low-fi, whipping up another stadium tour off the back of the energetic party that was the RWT could lead to unflattering comparisons. While a Revel-esque intimate special would be better suited. Similarly, Act 3 being Rock (for example) would create an easy opening for a return to Glastonbury (or similar) for another Homecoming-like special. 

 

One thing for sure is that she's always gonna make sure she gets paid left and right for the same body of work. So y'all already know the suggestions above would be accompanied by streaming/theatrical deals that elevate the reach and resonance. 

I agree, Rebirth is terrible. Maybe it’s a working title.

Harnessing what I remember from some of my communication classes, media messaging sometimes boils down to breaking titles down to their most simple and digestable format. 

 

I can imagine there's a lot of internal debate with artist teams about this. 

 

It's often about assuming, in the least shady way possible, that some of the audience are basic/entry-level. As such, the titling ought to be universal. Which, more times than not, translates to being: monosyllabic, short, sharp, and repeatable. Even it at the risk of sounding cliché. 

 

I'm not too fussed, as I also suspect the concept of being reborn artistically / as a performer (aka doing away with perfection, as she's mentioned multiple times on the RWT) will be a central theme of the film.

Lol. They do mean monster, like "monstre" in French or like monster in Kanye's song "Monster". It's definitely what they mean imo. But yes, it's probably more beast in the US expression but we will say : "c'est un monstre sur scène" Which does translate to monster.

yes that's what I meant. someone explained it in their comments section that French "monster" translates roughly to "beast" in English in this use. Monster has a negative connotation in English, for the most part. 

 

"She's a monster" = evil person

"She's a beast" = great at what she does

 Coldplay is currently on a three year tour.  And they are older than Beyoncé. Elton John embarked on one of the longest running tours ever. Why do we keep treating Beyoncé like she’s above it all? I do like the idea of her doing a one night only event. That being said I don’t think the rumors about possible tour dates in Brazil, Australia, and more are untrue. She would have to be the most insane person ever to conceptualize a new show with choreography and everything while in the midst of a tour.

she doesn't need to promote though. I thought it was weird she would release it now, right when she has 1989 coming out and tour continuing into the fall in LatAm.

Sorry sis I didn't make my point clear enough. It seems to me they do it on purpose because monster is a great above beast, at least in French. 

Just like in the Kanye's song where Nick's famous verse is from. When Ye, Jay and her say :"I'm a motherfucking monster", it's not because they're evil, it means they're beast power 100. We also have "c'est une bête sur scène" Which would be beast, but monstre is just more.
